I need a simple, affordable, inconspicuous and discrete dual time watch for when I travel for work. If this was a 39mm or 40mm it would be perfect!

BobrazTheir official website lists it as a 41mm. I think it will wear 40mm or smaller as the bezel design shrinks the look of the face just a tad. IMAO, anyway ;)

I recently bought a Squale GMT limited edition ceramic bezel, but it looks like a $10k watch (it cost $750). I really love it (probably as much as my Rolex Submariner!) but can't use it on my travels as some of the destinations I go have travel advisories, and displaying expensive looking watches is not recommended!

AleskbYes, I'm very keen on that one, but I seem to read all kind of contradictory things about the Invicta purchase of Glycine. Some say quality has suffered, others swear nothing has changed besides the logo (and I do prefer the older logo), etc.

BobrazWhen the Invicta / Glycine merger was made public, both companies were pretty adamant that it wouldn't interfere with the actual production and quality of Glycine watches. Some say it was to "reinvigorate" the brand, some say it was for better distribution purposes. Keep in mind that Glycine was previously sold in 2014 to DKSH in the interest of market expansion and there didn't seem to be a great wringing of hands over that. For what it's worth, the new logo design was in the works and, I believe, implemented before the Invicta sale went through.
I can tell you that I purchased a "post-Invicta" Glycine Combat Sub early this year and, when comparing it to a friend's older version, the attention to detail and quality appears just as good. I think you'll always find people who get upset about acquisitions like this and swear that "they don't make 'em like they used to", but from my limited experience I don't think the quality has suffered. Time will tell and perhaps that might change down the road. Cheers!

BobrazFrom what I know nothing has changed in the older models since the Invicta purchase, they are still manufactured in the same factory using same components. New models, strongly redesigned, came out since, but I've never read or heard complains in quality drops. In fact, to my pleasure, the only thing that seems to have dropped since the Invicta purchase is pricing, which allowed me to buy an Airman dc-4 purist from MD, which I truly adore and am wearing while writing this ;)

If the name Junkers bothers you (because of the first 4 letters), look at the Zeppelin brand on the same website. But those (https://shop.junkers.de/zeppelin-7540-3-nordstern.html) are 41 mm.
