I have 2 of these and the tagine too. They seem to grow mould inside between uses. Anyone else have this problem?

haroldshipI had the same problem with my dutch oven, and the solution that I've found – is to leave a gap between the lid and the bottom, so that the air could circulate.

username02We've found a solution. Thanks for everyone's help. What we do is, we let them dry really well, then we store them with a tiny bit of dry rice. Seems to work.

Looking on Amazon, yeah, the 1 star reviews are high at 15%, and fragility is the most common complaint. Either breaking during shipping, or things like a *small* drop cracking the lid. Heavy ceramic's great in a number of ways, but this can definitely be a problem. That said, ceramic over cast iron tends to chip and is heavy, and cast iron is very heavy and not entirely easy to work with.

Where are these Dutch Ovens manufactured? Is it France like some other Emile Henry products?
