Tempted by these Emu Walnuts but I already own the original CAL (as well as the TH-X00). I would definitely be in for a pair of the full-size Emu Teaks at a similar discount. Can anyone from Massdrop give us a clue whether there are any plans for the Teak headphones?

mapotofuUhhh if you already own TH-X00 I'm pretty sure that will be better than both EMU Walnet and EMU Teak.
Even if EMU Teak turn out to be better it should be close enough that it's not worth the extra spending.
Or at least that's what I've been told for people who previously owned Denon AH-D5000, AH-D7000, Fostex TH-600 and TH-900 (compared to TH-X00).

HydeI have heard both EMU Walnut and Teak at a can meet (Mook Event in Dec 2015). The jump from EMU Walnut to EMU Teak is a significant one. Fuller bass, smoother treble. Felt similar jump from listening OPPO PM3 to PM1. I like both EMU's better than the OPPO's. They are great value at their respective price points.

SupabaI wonder how Teak compares to Fostex TH-XX00. Similar design, transducer may be identical. I'm hearing it priced at over $900, meaning streat price a little below that would be TWICE the Fostex price. Price isn't everything, but is it worth twice as much?
