I just got a CAL through Amazon for $49 - very muffled headphone. The $40 (Massdrop) Edifier H850 is way, way better.

dalethornOpen them up with the two screws under the earpads, put some Dynamat on the drivers, block one of the two small driver holes, and it should bit crisper. I also personally use them without the outer shells (open/semi-open?).
