Seems like these are words I have heard on kickstarter...not on Mass Drop.
New to plus 100 dollar pens and just joined the pelican m200 smoky quartz drop. Is this a better pen for the money? Should I cancel and get this instead? Love titanium over resin... plastic. Don't care about prestige. Prefer quality and value. Would love to hear thoughts of owners of both.
Not to direct people away from good drops, but if you wanted something in the size range of the m200 but standout a bit more and keep a nice bock #6 titanium I would take a look at Karas Kustoms. I think they have popped up on Massdrop before, you could always keep an eye out if you really want to buy it as a drop. Believe it should come out to about just over $100 for the Karas.
I LOVE mine! Moreover, a friend really covets it and will be stalking Massdrop for his chance. It writes BEAUTIFULLY. SO SMOOTH and SOFT with BOUNCE and FLEX.
I love it. I got the EF titanium. The nib is sharp without being scratchy, and the overall look is fantastic. The feel is even better; it's obviously machined and with very, very tight tolerances. This is the best pen I've ever seen for $100! I highly recommend folks jump on this if it comes up again.
FWIW, I "post" the cap onto the pen to write. It does make it heavier, but I like the balance and feel.
Got mine this weekend. Pretty pleased with it overall. Polished Ti with medium nib.
+ Beefy, tight fitting converter. Really nice compared to some cheaper pens I've got
+ clean, unblemished finish looks great
- much fatter than expected. It looks a lot like a cigar holder. Ergo is fine though.
- screw threads are really squeaky
Overall a nice purchase for the price. I'll be adding it to my EDC pocket carry with my two Karas Kustoms pens.
