Recently we've been including both Surface mount and through hole in the kits. We find SMD much better.

MarkThanks for making this clear. That is what I saw originally, but now it says "or". <br /><br />Never soldered SMD and I don't have the time to practice it now.... or who knows.. :) maybe I get tempted.. <br /><br />In what way is the SMD so much better? PCB less spiky, more organised? OR? I understand the case fits one way or the other. I would also argue that the through-hole is technically a better connection (both mechanically and electronically), but the latter is .. well, I am into software, not electronics ...<br /><br />Thanks again
