I really like the idea of this keyboard, and am sure to get one eventually, but I dont like the case options listed, and was wondering what the chances are that next time around, there could be an option to not get a case and save some money......then I can integrate it into my ideal chair project whenever I have the time/money to do that.

rogerdodgeIf you look around you can still find groupbuys here for ErgoDox keyboard components: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/ergodox-pcb There is also one for just the keycaps and perhaps more if you put more effort in to finding them then I just did. Though you will probably end up sourcing the more common electronic components somewhere else.<br /><br />Usually you can also contact support for special requests. So if you'd order a kit, but contact support that you do not want the case (and also put it in the order somewhere if possible), they are sometimes able to drop your price a bit. Best thing is to inquire before placing your order ofcourse.
