How do you do per-key RGB lighting on a Shift V2?
I saw the online configurator that lets you do this on the Shift V1, where it spits out a compiled firmware file to flash. The V2 doesn't seem to have this function in the Windows configurator, though. I can't imagine the answer here is "you're going to have to manually write the hex for every key in QMK, compile it, and flash that".

On the ergodox: I have to say that is is a super easy transition from the kinesis. I intend to use this as a travel/alternate location keyboard as the Kinesis is a monster to lug around. I love the blue MX, it really reminds me to the old IBM keyboards. My kinesis has the brown ones and I think blue is my thing from now on.
That said, I have a huge hand (size 12 gloves) and compared to the kinesis I am kinda having trouble reaching the numbers and definitely the =+-_ keys up there. Kinesis makes you too comfy....
Anyway, for the ones who never used this layout: don't give it up on day one, I remember when I got the Kinesis I wanted to die when I had to type (kind of a problem when your day job is programming:)..
Thank you guys again. Now let's just figure out how we get here a metallic keycap max-drop. I want to pimp this baby with heavy metallic polished keycaps. Quite frankly the caps that came with it feel a little cheap-o compared to the kinesis keys, the texture feels like it was dusty all the time... sure will get used to it, but ... ehh ... metal keycaps is what I want now for this.:)
Cheers Denes
By the way, one remark.. just replaced the alt/ctrl with a key I had from filco . The key is a little taller, so it really helps accessing these keys. I am heavy on the control as I use that as the apple command key.. so everything happens with that pretty much ...
Here is the layout I came up with ... ( ignore the K put on the original [ key - I didn't really want to put anything there as there is nothing there on my Kinesis ) ....
