We had a few of these at my last job and they're pretty flimsy.
object_ObjectThis is a very new product that has only been on the market for a few months as Massdrop was the first to offer it. We have actually ordered a dozen or more of these for our own office use here at the Massdrop headquarters. They are very solid and everyone is impressed by them. I have personally mounted 2x 29" LG Ultrawide monitors to the dual version of this product and is was rock solid.
Ergotech is known for quality and stability on all their products. They have been a community favorite now since the beginning. If I am not mistaken your comment is the first negative response to any of Ergotech's products that we have offered here on Massdrop.
I am sorry to hear that people at your old job had a bad experience with a product. Is it possible that it was a different product since this has been on the market for such a short time of only 3 months at this point?

Tex-ArozziMy mistake, it must have been something else we were using. They look really similar.

How many inches does the platform raise? I'm a rather tall person and my last effort to getting a sit to stand was cut a few inches shorter than comfort.
LateTesI am 6'4" and can tell you that I would have no problem using this as I tested it here in the office. Actually, when moved all the way up its a little to high for me. I had to move it down an inch or two.

Any chance for a triple or quad mount?
DeskErgotech does not have a 3/4 mount option for this sit stand. We will see about sourcing one.

Can the double mount be used with a single monitor ?
Yes, this drop is domestic only. It would cost around $300 to ship this outside of the US due to size and weight.

I would give this a solid chance of being stable considering its 64 lbs and moniter never weight much more than 10 lbs. Would recomomend getting your second moniter soon though since it doen't look like you can pull those moniter arms in and out to change where the center of the moniter is.

Sorry if this is dense, but does this actually connect to the desk somehow? Or is it just weighted strongly? Also, how does it move between sitting and standing height? I couldn't find anything definitive by searching the site or Google. Thanks!

barfaitNot dense at all!!! This sits freely upon one's desk surface. No mounting required. There is a lever on the right side, beneath the work surface that it used to raise and lower your monitor(s) and work surface.

I went to the product page and don't see dimensions listed. I have a Mac Thunderbolt display to which I will add a VESA adapter. I'm concerned about how close my face will be to the monitor with this desk. Can we get those details?

The distance from the back of the column to the front of the VESA plate is approximately 5.5" The total footprint of the work surface(which raises & lowers) is 23.6" deep and 30" wide. Please bear in mind for stability, the column is not flush against the back edge of the base, but set a couple inches in from the back edge. For focal depth- the work surface is 18.8" deep and the VESA protrudes in approximately 3.5". You would then need to add the depth of your monitor and any other accessories/adapters you are utilizing.
