As others have said, you need to do price comparisons before you buy. That being said, the ESEE 6 is an awesome knife for camping and bushcraft for the fair price. Yes, there are other knives made of 3V and so on, but you will be spending a lot more money. You also can't beat ESEE's warranty either, one of the best in the industry. For those who want fancier steels...... Take at look at Swamp Rat Knife Works RatManDu , Survive! Knives GSO-5.1 or GSO-6, or if you really want to spend some money take a look at one of the Busse INFI steel knives. 1095 with the right heat treat will work just fine and if you are in the field and have to sharpen it, I would much rather have it than some of the supersteels. I've got knives in S35V, CPM 3V, INFI and so on but like I said before, ESEE 6 is a great knife at a fair price.

GregBFLWARNING Well, a question really, but just in case, a warning... does ESEE's warranty apply here? I've read here that Fallkniven's warranty does not apply.

LordOpieWell, they do say it's no questions asked for the whole life of the knife, regardless of where it goes or who it ends up with. I'd think that would mean no matter where it was sold you'd still be covered, but I haven't tried it, so I guess I can't be sure.
