matthew916Please tell us more. I'm not disagreeing with you. But it's not bad for price and materials. There are probably a few better options around the price
anonomousI was trying to make a better 90 degree angle on the top near the thumb stud to work better with a fire steel like I do with all my knives and my grinder went through it like it was made of aluminium.
matthew916Lol yea that's aus8 for ya. It is a bit soft especially when you have high heat into it (if you were using a Dremel that is). Might want to try sand paper or a sharpening stone (not diamonds) instead.
It's soft because it's mass produced meaning so many different people will use them for dumb things. If it were heat treated at a higher Rockwell the company would have more warranty claims. Aus8 is super easy to sharpen and gets razor sharp too. Lasts longer than 8cr13mov tho.
Anyways good idea with the spine! Always good to have a fire steel and a good knife to use it.
anonomousAll my other 20+ knives did fine and I am using a grinder not a dremel. I am just trying to warn people that there are a lot better budget knives out there and i would never buy this piece of crap again.
