Our vendor has informed us that the bulk shipment was picked up last Friday, and it is currently en route to our warehouse! Transit time typically takes about a week, so we are expecting to receive the order towards the end of this week. Once received, our warehouse team will work hard to turn around your individual orders as quickly as possible.
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 12/21 or sooner if something comes up.

Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the ESP LTD ST-213 Maple OW B-Stock Electric Guitar and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where we'll break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 12/18.

How does this compare to a Squire Bulletstrat?

chowder138In my opinion, it's way better than the Squier Bullet. In fact, these compare favorably to the Fender "Special Edition" Standard Mexican strat I have. I really don't need to spend the money right now, but I may jump on this anyway, just because I've been wanting one of these and it's a good price.

I just picked one up last week (along with an acoustic I'd been wanting) as I got a rocking deal and thought I'd take a chance. I'd say it's decent value for $$$; had I a bit more cash at the time, I'd have opted for a G&L or Fender (my personal preferences.) Do note, the ST-213 has a 14 inch radius and extra jumbo frets - flat and bendy. Although it's an ESP, this model is not limited to / only focused on metal (thankfully - I'm not a metal guy.) Not crazy about the tuners, but that may just be my copy. Overall. I'm pleased with the guitar so far.

FreedRickKneeChiCan you compare the neck to say a Squire Strat or even a regular strat? I'm not a fan of the deep c neck on the strat I have.

zanzerothI'm not a pro, semi-pro, or even wanna be; I just like playing for myself. That said, the neck profile is definitely "flatter" - it's U shape. Nut is also smaller, 42 vs 43mm. And, action seems lower. It's definitely different, and I would say not for everyone. If you have access to a store nearby, I would check out a similar profile guitar: U shape, 22 X jumbo frets, and 42mm nut. My take on all this, is that it's hard to find something truly decent that will keep ones interest for less than $300, and likely $500 or more. Not a snob - it's simply what I've experienced to date. I've tried Epiphone Les Pauls in the sub $300 range, and hated the "feel." Nonetheless, they are very popular. I've tried lower-end strats and teles, and wasn't wholly sold on tone or build quality. I bought this on sale for close to $70* less than here (tax and shipping included); definitely a one-off as I haven't seen it for that price elsewhere. For me - and at that price - it was a no-brainer. If I had to pay full retail ($350 - 400) and it were my only guitar I think - and I underscore the "I" - that I would look at other options. I'm not a metal guy and while there is tonal variety, there are seemingly better options for my preferred styles of music. If you want to mod it - change pickups, etc. - fit and finish are decent at this price. "Feel" = too many variables: hand size / finger width, technique, tone preference / music style, will it be your only guitar, etc. Again I would strongly suggest you check it (or something similar) locally. For now, it has a bit of fun / new factor to it. Also, I haven't had it long enough to speak to fatigue, or render an unqualified recommendation. How long have you been playing? What do you want to do with it? What do you like to play? Will it be your only guitar? How long do you intend to use it (will it keep your interest)? What is your budget? And, will you like the profile? A deal is not a deal if it doesn't work for YOU.
