fun fact: you're basically just paying for a paint job. Bolt on necks are entry level and the emgs are fine but some of the wood choices are not what I would prefer

MethDragonsFender Made in USA, American Elite Stratocasters use Alder bodies, Maple necks and are all bolt on! The MSRP is about $1900.00

johnro6659And better wiring, better fret job. Better bridge.

IcywolfeYou could install a better bridge and redo the wiring yourself easily for pennies
johnro6659To compare Fender and Gibson to a LTD is ludicrous. In fact, a LTD is cheaper version of a ESP. Getting something made in a Chinese or a Korean factory, oppose to having it made in USA custom shop or in Tokyo are worlds apart. You can slap lipstick on a pig and its still a pig, but to each their own. In the end, you can make a cheapo guitar sound like something forged from the gods. Happy shredding!

BigGuyOnCampus89His comment was in response to the claim that bolt on necks are entry level. The examples he provided show they are clearly not. I'd say he is spot on.

"MethDragon" is decidedly an apropos handle - as you have to be on meth to make a comment like that.

DonVWow, it's stunning - but how does it sound? Can it make a sparkling clean tone? I'd be afraid to scratch it, lol.

Mister5f1modsIt's a complete shredder. Ron makes his own pickups, they're wound to my spec (but the names Eddie Van Halen and Stevie Ray Vaughan were involved... lol) . Body is roasted ash, neck is roasted maple.
The finish is pretty tough. I actually did the dye job myself - see attached (and sent Ron the knobs and the material used for the bobbin covers and the fret markers). He was totally cool to work with - if I was willing to take a chance he'd run with it. Came out great.
