ED61Specially when ETA used to be Eterna’s in-house movement maker.

Just got mine today. Beautiful watch with grey dial and bracelet. I was on the fence on this but decided to go for it. Glad I did. BTW, resizing the bracelet was really easy since it used screw pins.

The base model (blue hands on the gray face) is refreshingly different, but you can't go past the silver hour markers against the black negative space.

CoobMe too, I'm so tired of seeing all these nice watches and then finding out they're 42mm, where did all the 38's go :-(

The Swatch group presents a powerful value proposition these days due to their ownership of ETA. I'm fascinated at what you can get from Mido, Certina, Hamilton and Tissot (containing ETA movements) for the money you'll pay for many "prestige" watches containing base Sellitas. The only reason I haven't bought the Oris I've craved for years is that I can't justify dropping $1k+ on a beautiful case, with great lineage, that contains a base SW-200 that's not even tweaked. Well hold on- they slap a red rotor on it. I stand corrected.

Isn't STP made using chinese seagull parts though? Some of the plates were found to have seagull markings on them. I have nothing against STP as I own a watch that uses STP movement, but they are likely using chinese components, wheras ETA does not.

Some watchmakers I trust have told me that sellita used to be pretty bad but modern ones apparantley have overcomed a lot of the issues and are on point wtih ETA movements.

Lugs could be shorter. Even with the bracelet on, you can see them being a bit farther than end link. Now it's definitely too big for me. Maybe that's a good thing - saved me a few hundred bucks, haha
