What's the accuracy on these IEMs? I don't find it anywhere, not even on their site...

Woot-ZeeEtymotic creates the flattest and some of the well matched headphones in the game.

SephHaleyI was not asking about Etymotic, I was asking about this specific IEM (ER3SE to be more specific), because for ER4 the accuracy is:
  • — 92%+ response accuracy from 20 Hz – 16 kHz

Woot-ZeeWhen you say response accuracy, what are you referring to exactly?

SephHaleyTo the same thing they (Etymotic) are referring...

Woot-ZeeJust read up on it, doesn’t that seem pretty useless as far as measurements come? It’s kind of hard to judge them compared to other headphones, considering no one else measured their headphones to that measure, and it does seem a bit arbitrary, considering your ears are different than that maniken’s.

SephHaleyOh, God... :) I was asking about their accuracy from the same measuring system they used creating " flattest and some of the well matched ", not from another third party measuring site... That's why I asked for accuracy and not frequency or THD graphs.
I need this accuracy because this is the reason I buy Etymotic. For accuracy and for sound isolation. Are these similar/same with ER•4?
My ears are different OFC, but these are deep inserting IEMs, that is the reason they are deep inserting... to bypass the pinna reflections. Search the Internet for why Etymotic are considered one of the flattest sounding earphones around.
But it seems that now is too late anyway, I still have ER•4 around, but I was curious if they are the same or close.

SephHaleyNo kidding. I think the response accuracy might be in regards to channel balance, like matching left and right to one another.., I don't think they can fairly say "response is 95 percent accurate" universally and absolutely lol. Afterall, I've seen reports of their sine wave performance, and the performance there was pretty undesirable. Now, I'm not an expert on that figure, but it looks arguably worse than something like the AKG k553, or many other headphones, and the k553 is not great there either.. But like i said, i'm no expert on that, I've yet to see a good sine wave performer. Also, on the ety site they limit the headphones frequency response rating to 15,000 hz, however, it really drops off, i think around 2000-5000hz. Anyhow, for the run i think it's probably petty good. That said, again, i think they mean in response to channel balance when saying "response accuracy". Inner fidelity did a review. And there some more analysis in the differences in frequency response between the 3's and the 4's on head-fi. I think for the XR model, the three's are basically the same as the fours in "frequency response", and word on the street is the er3xr and er4xr use the same driver, and that the 3xr has a lower impedance because of resistor difference, which would explain why they have the same response to the analysis..,
