I have a pair of these. I found them very effective until I put one in and lost most hearing in my left ear for a week.
Turned out to be my Eustachian tube fucking up (and my hearing is fine now), but beware of using these if you have Eustachian tube dysfunction.

atomicthumbsatomicthumbs........Really?!? What do these ear plugs have to do with your Eustachian tube dysfunction??? It sounds like you are trying to imply that these ear plugs somehow caused hearing loss......that's ridiculous. Your Eustachian tube dysfunction caused the temporary hearing loss... not the plugs.

atomicthumbsIf you've already got hearing loss for *whatever* reason, an earplug or earmuff of any kind is going to reduce your sensitivity even more. It's what they are for.
Earplugs don't cause or aggravate a Eustachian tube problem, but they can interact with it. The reason is, you now have an air seal on both sides of the eardrum, which might interfere with pressure equalization.
A blocked inner ear would make it even more important to remove an earplug slowly, so you don't accidentally cause momentary low pressure in your external ear.
