Spyderco’s line of Para Military knives has been hailed for its ergonomic shape and utility. However, due to their stature, they’ve also been deemed too large for some. The Para 3 is Spyderco’s response to those who requested a smaller version. With all of the functionality of the Para Military 2, but about an inch shorter, the Para 3 is large enough to tackle tough jobs, yet small enough for daily carry. This limited-edition version comes with a CPM-S35VN blade and an earthy brown G-10 handle. The handle is textured for a solid grip. Drilled holes support tip-up or tip-down carry on either side. Jimping on the spine and ricasso make for comfy grip when choking up, too.
Note: Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we are able to ship only some of the knives on Massdrop to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (pioneer of the integral frame lock, featured on the Gent), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process known as Crucible Powdered Metallurgy, which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
