Does anyone have any experience with both this gaiter and the similar neck gaiter by Columbia? If so, which do you like better? Why?

You don't spray permethrin on your body, you spray it on clothes. It binds to fabric. The EPA does say permethrin seems pretty safe for humans but it doesn't mean that their opinion could change if new information comes to light. I agree that things like West Nile and some nasty tick diseases are more of a concern, but I also don't wanna get cancer, so, I try to be mindful about exposure to any sort of chemicals whether any body of people say it's safe or not.

yokkenRight, I know that permethrin is not for the skin (I removed the potentially confusing word). Again, I appreciate your concerns for your health. I don't think anyone wants cancer. However, it seems that the risk of cancer from permethrin exposure is orders of magnitude less than the risk of Zika, West Nile, Lyme disease, or any of a host of other awful diseases from biting bugs.

Thanks for the catch about color, I will see if I can edit my order. Anyway, these things are great, way better than a bandana. It's everyday use is mopping sweat (it stretches enough so you can keep sweat out of your eyes. Secondary use is a pillowcase for my inflatable Big Sky pillow. And when the mosquitos so come out, it is quite effective. More they you would expect.

I believe the photos for Dusty Sage and Silverlake are switched -- Silverlake should be more blue than Dusty Sage, which is grey-green. How do we know we'll receive the colors we expect?

WLVAYou are correct, thanks for pointing that out. I've updated the option images to show the correct colors. My CS team will be reaching out to members who chose those 2 options and notifying them of this mix up so they can change their selection. Sorry for the mix up! @JayEmTee

PaigeDWhat finder's fee do I get for identifying the mismatched colors? Joking not joking: -- there would have been a world of hurt at Massdrop Central after the majority of buyers received the wrong colors.

Shipping for 1: $2.75 Shipping for 2: $3.75 Shipping for 3: $7.75 ?! I've seen this shipping bug on other items on Massdrop for a long time. When will this get fixed? The only solution seems to be to make another account.

bthomasYeah that can't be right. A similar Buff is 40g. To be fair, the same weight is shown on Ex Officio's website. Guessing it's the shipping weight, but sure would be nice to get a confirmation of the real weight.

JayEmTeeJust an update for those that may be interested. I ended up ordering one directly from ExOfficio since they were the same price as advertised here. It just arrived today and my scale says 1.6 oz (46 g).
