Caveating with the observation that Drop hasn't pushed clothing drops in a long while, I was introduced to the Exofficio brand by those drops. From a purely mechanical point of view all of the Exofficio boxers and briefs I bought have long outlasted other brands.
Got ripped the hell off by Drop with its false and misleading ad that I would get two items for the advertised price but only got one. At least the one works like a champ. Breathes well. Not as good as Under Armour for odor but much better than UA on chafing. So far, no chafing issues whatsoever. Just watch out for DROP's unreliable statements

I have 4 pair that I have been wearing for backpacking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities for over two years. I love them and if they ever wear out I will get some more. They do get the little "pills" like others have described. Mine got them after the first washing. But for me they did not affect the comfort. I don't even notice them any more and on inspection they are practically gone. They are easy to wash and dry quickly when you are on the go.

I have been using store bought ones for hiking, for years without any problem, but those as described under a number of other posts are not aging well at all. Are they bought directly from the brand, because it looks like counterfeit items ?
I love this brand, they're the most comfortable underwear I've ever experienced. Unfortunately, I was unaware that this particular model lacked a fly, whether that was my error in not observing the description or that it was left out. Regardless, I don't like them for that reason, and that reason only.
I love these briefs. I do a moderate amount of hiking, rappelling, climbing, kayaking and canoeing, and a whole lot of camping. The briefs are extremely comfortable and work well for all my outdoor activities. In addition to being comfortable, they are odor resistant and wick moisture away.
My only complaint is the briefs "pill up" after washing them. However, that has not had a negative impact on their performance.
