I have the same Exotac striker in aluminum, and although aesthetically it's really cool, it has very few practical uses.. I sort of regret the purchase... It just sits on my shelf. (And I'm an avid outdoorsman and a camper) .. Chances that these are ever used in a real-world situation are very slim.. you'll just use your lighter..

I love the discussion! How interaresting you are able to come on geek or wish and order the exact same kind of thing. So why spend asl this money. Just saying, i think people hike up the price because where they see a hiked price they associate it with the best... and that simply is not true.

The quality and design are the best of the best. I have several of these. The copper one is suitable for collecting but is so heavy that it is not practical for backpacking. Go for the aluminium version.

Great USA made product. I have this one and a titanium one. Would buy them again.

This is a little over the top. The core of this product is a flint and steel. It doesn't work any better than an inexpensive version. I bought an anodized aluminum one of these, from Wish or Geek, I don't remember which, for $1 plus another $1 for shipping. Sure, it took a couple of weeks to get here but, it does exactly what this does and, in only out $2 total.

Exotac is a USA business based in Georgia. It’s very unlikely that any other similar products are made in the same manufacturing location.
