Overall this is a great little light. I'm not a fan of the reverse clip though; keep catching it on things, and I rarely wear baseball caps so it serves no real purpose.
Another drop with delays in shipping. I stopped looking at drops for awhile after the SNAFU with the Spyderco stuffed stockings, and now this one is delayed too. Guess after I get this light I'll be done with Massdrop for at least a few months. Get your order fulfillment process fixed, or loose customers!
Another GREAT deal, thank you Massdrop! This light (the 250) is MSRP of $40, well worth $30 which is what most are selling it at. The reverse clip is a wonderful feature, so you can clip it to a ballcap for handsfree use. And the clip is integrated into the tail cap, so it can't pop-off, unless you completely break it! This light is nearly identical to a few other pen lights in this category, very popular design.
Lastly, the good folks at CandleLightPower http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?428720-Factor-Equipment-Mizpah-130-1xAAA-1st-Impressions-Best-reversible-pocket-clip-EVER! Really like this light. Even though it doesn't fill a niche for me, and I have several lights in this category already, I'm seriously considering it, mostly for the excellent design and reverse pocket clip.
I'm new to Massdrop and I don't understand the fact that this discussion seems to be unrelated (time and specific drop event) to the current drop. Does a discussion of a previous drop for the same item continue as if only one Massdrop event?
Mine arrived today, and it's ALMOST perfect. Mine seems to cycle through the modes even when I fully press the switch. It doesn't seem to remember the mode last used. This seems to me like it may be a fault, as both the description here and the instruction pamphlet say that it remembers the last mode.
EDIT: I've figured out the issue. I have to hold down the switch for literally a fraction of a second longer than I was for it to revert to the last mode. Since figuring this out, it works perfectly every time. I'd like to mention that I emailed customer service about the issue before I figured it out, and they answered within 20 minutes. All around very happy with the light!
My flashlight arrived extremely defective. A light tap on the side of the body will sometimes turn the light off or sometimes will cycle through the modes. I'm contacting the seller; curious if anyone else has the same experience.
jcmoore65I tested my 250, and I can get it to switch modes like you described, but I have to really whale the light hard on something like a countertop or a desk. Factor seems to be really good about customer service and support, so I bet they'll make it right.
