I got a Mizpah 250 direct from Factor a few weeks ago, and so far it works very well for me. It's slightly shorter than my other 2×AAA penlight (BriteStrike EPLI), but slightly brighter with a smoother beam. It seems plenty sturdy, but I do wish there was a little more textured surface on the body of the light. I would personally get the 2-cell version, as the 1-cell light is just a bit too short for my hand to manipulate dexterously.
The way the switch works, to change modes you first have to click it on, and then half-press the switch to toggle between modes. Half-pressing the switch does absolutely nothing unless the light is on to begin with. If you full-press the switch instead of half-pressing it, you'll click the light off and the next click will turn it on in the mode it was in before("Smart Memory"). Personally, I think it's a good balance between making the modes relatively easy to select deliberately, and making it less likely to change modes unintentionally.
I got mine for $22.95 + $5 S&H, but that was during a 25% off sale that is now over. Once the lowest price gets unlocked, it'll be the same as 25% off, unless Factor decides to do a better sale for Independence Day...
PhilWongWould it fit snugly in the side loop of a Leatherman holster? I have a LM Surge holster and an ML-108 flashlight fits in it pretty tightly. The ML-108 is 0.8 inches in diameter at the head, and slightly smaller at the tail.
