I don't think anyone is questioning John's work, he does a wonderful job. However, insinuating that people are looking for a cheap 'deal' wallet is a bit extreme. GuardedGoods mentioned the finer details are being lost, what would those be? Also, he mentions John's products are incredibly made, I'm curious to know, what sets John's work apart from his where a higher price is justified? GuardedGoods had cordovan watch straps for $65, which is a great deal! I understand the leather community is tight knit, but saying this card wallet's price is justified because of the quality, is implying that cheaper priced wallets are inferior. You all are free to price leather goods as high you'd like, however, there are too many quality leather craftsman whose wallets are cheaper. I'm saying this because I have multiple horween wallets, multiple cordovan wallets, and multiple leather wallets in general. Both, GuardedGoods and John do phenomenal work, but consumers have a right to question questionable pricing.

Sorry, but I kind of agree with Alee.G with this one, I'm looking the MSRP price of this wallet at $130 and with this price it definitely able to get a wallet that is using much better leather and much more functional / complex to craft (and of course also 100% handcrafted), I understand that John from Faler does have awesome skill to craft great looking leather product and care for details, but maybe need to revalue of this wallet, and from the current amount of purchases / committed of this drop can see why it doesn't even meet lowest drop requirement while only 1 day left.

This looks nice for my needs, but would anyone have a picture of how this leather ages? Also what grain leather is used? I guess full grain but it's not stated in the description.

SyvereDefinitely full grain leather used in this wallet. Here's a Google image search link for you to look at examples of vegetable tanned natural leather that has aged over time (with use and friction): https://www.google.com/search?q=natural+vegetable+tanned+leather+aging&espv=2&biw=1562&bih=875&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjqsN2g8vbRAhVnyFQKHdVwC_AQ_AUIBygC#imgrc=QC0J-EHv9C79FM:

You know I love my faler fold wallet but that's in part because it was only $35. If I'm paying $90 I want a real wallet not a glorified unwealdly card holder.

If anyone is looking for a richer, darker look and American-made is important to you, Hanger & Cloth has a couple gorgeous options for a little cheaper.

Why post a link to a completely unrelated type of design though? Unless you're somehow involved with that company.

GuardedGoodsBwahaha oh no! You've uncovered the grand conspiracy! I must be secretly involved with them to point out a more affordable and, to be quite frank, infinitely better looking wallet! It's true! As a part of the H&C cabal, I go to every website that sells wallets and comment to undermine them! How did you see through my veil!?

What a load of pretentious drivel! I'm well aware of the quality but $90 for a few pieces of leather sewn together in the most simple way possible? If I where to pay that much for a wallet I'd want something considerabley more functiona than the this clunky awkwardly folding wallet. Also take your patronizing tone somewhere else, this community has always welcomed those to comment there disagreement or alternate sugestions to products.
