I have the older ones in vg-10.. Awesome blades, can't imagine it being any worse with the new steel. The sheath is serviceable but the side clips that holds the blade in place does get loose over time, an easy fix is to wrap rubber bands or better yet bike tubes which can double as survival accessory.
