The design looks nice enough, and it looks like it would be a good choice for dressier occasions, but I don't outright see where the cost is. Also, they could have been a little classier on the makers mark and blade text. I also don't understand why you'd bother to make it a locking knife instead of a slip-joint, given the styling and the only two-handed open. Thumb-nicks aren't particularly great, especially for people hoping to keep their nails in good shape xD
I'd love to hear from the community as to why this knife justifies the price tag.

The jigged bone version has been my EDC for at least four or five years. I own far too may knives for one man and the TK3 is my favorite. It's a classy little gem. I surely don't need another, but that MOP is calling.

They were a great deal too, until they got famous. Now you can get a custom American made knife for less.

The TK3 knife here is not VG-10. This knife uses 3G steel. The 3G steel is much harder and holds it's edge for a lot longer than VG-10. I agree that the prices have skyrocketed over the last 10 years or so, but this particular steel is without peers. I had a Red Quince Burl version of this knife that was stolen, and I replaced it with a Mother Of Pearl scaled version that has bragging rights it is so magnificent with it's good looks and excellent functionality of the 3G steel. I got mine from Craigslist, as I couldn't afford the $350 asking price, but it is worth it's asking price just for the sheer beauty of the scales. It has it's own exquisite character.

I lived in Sweden for a few years and became a Fallkniven fan after purchasing one of their fillet knives for fishing. Everyone in Sweden owns one or at least, so it seems. Very well made and extremely durable. Great knives!!!
