Bought two Tibolt pens each from his very first campaign at Kickstarter then at JSC...another 2 pencil last year for a simple reason...these pens (and pencils) are well designed and immaculately made and machined. I carried my pen on a daily basis, often time in my jeans pocket. Over 2 solid years of use and these pens still looked a good as new due to the stonewashed finishing.
The earlier darker finish are way much nicer but unfortunately the new pens are now finished with a lighter color, which is a backward step as far as I'm concerned. Might just splash for a anodized bronze pen because I know it will last me like forever. The bolt action are very nice and non of the many imitators can come close to this one. Buy with confident

ShyanAgree - the darker colour I have seen in various pictures on the net look a lot better than this lighter colour.

ShyanDo you think the anodizing will ever scratch or flake off? Just asking because I was thinking about getting the ano colors.

tenspinyaIf you do drop them, I'm sure the anodizing might show some scratches...the darker colours will show the wear more than the lighter one for obvious reason. Maybe @BrianFellhoelter might want to confirm if he will choose Type II or Type III anodising?
Titanium stonewash will be the way to go if you don't want to baby your pen and like the finishing to wear off nicely.

ShyanWell I guess I'll go with the non ano finish. I really dont want to baby this pen since its going into pockets with keys and knives to rub up against. I would prefer a darker color but I guess it will have to do. Thanks for the help guys.

tenspinyaKind of late with this but check out anodized after daily hard use for about 7-8 months, buttery smooth, everything Fellhoelter touches is bound to be prodigious! Fo Shizzle!

SCONLooking good, thanks for the pics. I went with the ice blue after all cause I was feeling the color, glad I did.

SCONI have had an anodized TiBolt in my pocket every day for at least a year, I'm hard on my gear and yes it does wear over time on the barrel, as @SCON stated, it develops a nice patina. The low spots (grooves and decorations) retain the original intensity.
