Pen just came in today. I noticed someone had asked about whether the pen can accept Pilot G2 Gel refills, and I can confirm that it CANNOT.
There are two problems. First, the Pilot G2 refills are too long, preventing the tip from screwing back in. Second, the point of the Pilot G2 refills won't fit through the tip of the pen.
So, you can't make the Pilot G2 refill fit by just cutting the refill down to the correct size, since the refill doesn't taper down quickly enough to fit through the cap anyways. The upside is that it seems that with a custom replacement tip (and probably a different spring), you could get the Pilot G2 refill to work.
A replacement tip (and spring) could also probably get Mont Blanc refills to work, if you're into that sort of thing.
EDIT: That being said, I think the Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 refill is pretty awesome, I only wish that finer tips were available. Oh well, there are tons of other Parker-style G2 refills to explore (this is an ISO standard, and is different than the refills that fit the Pilot G2 line of pens. Yes, it's confusing.)

Drew52Mine came today as well. The Schmidt refill has a broad point. They also make a medium point refill which I prefer. Been using a Schmidt medium EasyFlow 9000 for a couple of years. Just thought you'd like to know that a finer point is available.
