I used to own this and I have to say build quality and features are both top notch for the price. No complaint.
However the biggest issue I got is that with bass boost off, you'd assume it should be neutral bass, but you actually get slightly lower than neutral bass. With bass boost on while it's nice, but it bleed into the mids so you get a slightly muddier sound.
In short, with bass boost off, you get less than normal bass, with it on, you get slightly bloated bass.
If you can live with that then it's a great dac/amp otherwise. :)
I ended up selling mine and bought NuForce uDAC-3 from massdrop. Though at the present moment I'd actually recommend Schiit Fulla 2 over both.

HydeI have and use the e10K and agree on all points. I think that price for performance this is a fantastic go to move if you're looking to get into your first DAC. The comments on bass are spot on in my experience though I suspect it depends a bit on your headphones. I'm using my e10K with Sennheiser HD598s and do find that with bass boost things are a bit heavy and without, as you mentioned Hyde, it seems a bit under neutral. Overall though I'm a huge fan of this DAC - particularly for such a great price.

splicepointlol glad to know other people experience the same thing, for a while I thought I was just crazy.
But yes as you said for the price / feature this is an amazing product. Though for those who can afford to spend a bit more and doesn't want the bass problem, look into Micca Origen and Schiit Fulla 2 (better ergonomic too).

HydeFulla 2 has lots of problems on its own, you can check the headfi thread. people have very scratch POT's and other whirring noises, some people have static and others like me have pops/cracks in the audio constantly but randomly.

Jimster480Ahhhh that's good to know, I guess it's too new they probably need some time to iron out the kinks.

HydeYes I think they just have some issues with USB and its hard for them at this price point with building everything in the USA.

Jimster480I've had the pops and cracks with the first Fulla. I think the problem might be how they program the C-Media USB receiver that they like to use. Or it simply sucks.

Valensilius_ZephyrusYes I read that about the first one, now this is the 2nd rendition and it seems they have alot of issues with it too.
