Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

You are the one that don't understand what a power hungry headphone is, that by the way has nothing to do with impedance. I just gave a comparison of the amp parts of the different Fiio products, that by the way, again, are portable and should not be compared. If I would want to digress I could compare my as well portable solution of O2+ODAC with the batteries kept, but I don´t think is worth it and you'll keep fanboying around. You can keep trolling, harassing reputable companies and digressing: It looks like you are an expert.
Keep going please, we are all eager to listen to your expertise. I won´t keep answering your replies anymore, it's a waste of time.
It's not about powering HD 650's only, it's not a common practice to go portable with 300ohm cans. Also, 650mW is not a full watt of power and the AKM4396 is not better than TI PCM 1798 as for DAC chips. I am a fan of Schiit but I've purchased this because it fits all the criteria I need in a portable dac/amp, which Schiit does not offer.
I've read / seen good reviews on this portable amp/dac combo. Personally haven't tried the c5d, but it's something I've considered. I ended up buying the Fiio e18 due to price and past experiences with Fiio products. Goodluck on your search for your perfect rig!
