hey guys,
a noob question, i bought my X5 a week ago from massdrop, and i have headphones with low impendence, would this thing still improve my sound? and if yes why?
thanks in advance to anyone who will take the time to enlighten me!

mangotangoNo you don't need this. You just bought a 400 dollar media player that is also a DAC (digital analog converter) and amp which is what this is. You can even hook the X5 into your computer via usb and use it as a soundcard. Just like the E17.
But yes it will improve the quality of the sound. I don't own an X5 but I've had an E17 for three years and I can never go back to just a cell phone or a crappy integrated sound chip on a motherboard. You will hear an improvement with 12 ohm IEM's clear up to 600ohm monsters.
Just make sure you get some good bitrate music.
