Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

The midrange is the star of this show. Voices, piano, winds, strings - they all shine through clearly and distinctly. The trebles are well-extended without a single bit of stridency. Warm and detailed is the best way to describe the sound.
Because of their sensitivity, they can easily be powered by any mobile device to deafening levels. But the III's can really show off their stuff with a good headphone amp. I power mine with a Fiio A3 and boy, they go from really good to outstanding. All the frequencies are made even clearer and more detailed. Anyone who didn't know this was coming from one armature would swear it was very high quality dynamic driver.
You definitely can't go wrong with these if you like balance between all the frequencies that are detailed yet warm and musical at the same time. I'm curious now about the VI's (just within my budget) and the F series and maybe I might try something in that group one day. But for now, the III's are wonderful! I'm now a FAD fan!
Still gonna get the F7200s sometime, though.
And definitely try one of the Sonorous sets. They are fantastic.
(god, I've had to retype this three times because this phone hates massdrop.)
