I'm enjoying these to be quite honest. Definitely not for the bass heads, but it does bring out more depth to music. The panning used in the mix becomes more apparent and the sound is very 3-dimensional compared to more generic earbuds. I'm hoping that the heaven V aging ones will be a. It bassier. I know there's a request page for it on here somewhere.

ricepaddywingsGet spinfit tips. Also nobody seems to tell you this but you need deep insertion than most iems to get the sound proper. They have way way more bass than a comparable single BA from etymotic. I like these so much better than more expensive iems. Some people might say that their top end extension is less than Final's more expensive iems, but I'm pretty confident I've damaged my hearing enough that i can't notice.

dominicaKZ whirlwinds are allot cheaper and the hole volume is bigger which can mean more bass(the bigger the sealed volume the more bass(generally the most pleasing overall not to be considered a basshead hack or anything this is normal desired usage) a bigger tip canal bore means more sealed volume) you might need to add some sugru or mastic tape to increase the size of the soundports on your iems but at 5 dollars a pair for spinfits thats even more than spiral dots which are 16 bucks for 6 pairs of the same size then whirlwinds are 1.20 a pair for 3 pairs of the all different sizes most will probably only use the medium and large ones so thats 1 or 2 pair for 1.20 thats allot cheaper than the others by a long shot. Plus in my experience the foam tips with the hard inner canals have the best sound quality no rubber flange tip ever comes close(I know most computer nerds never workout so they have jelly skulls and ears and always whine about comfort I never have this problem). More volume within the seal allows the bass to develop properly and if you have a slightly oversize foam tip you can get a good seal without the tip being fully deep seated(thus increasing sealed volume) like you do have to with a jelly flange tip thus the foam tip allows it to develop the most Ive also seen that better sound comes from tips with oversized canals(the inner tube in the tip) even if they are to big for the sound ports on the iem a simple mod to increase sound port circumference is a good workaround then you can use the tips that are cheapest and have the biggest bore canals, the KZ whirlwind. The spinfits are considered to be the most durable and thick but the spiral dots are considered the most conformable the spinfits have the thickest material. I just think 5 dollars for a pair of iem tips is gouging and thats the price on taobao too and with a taobao agent(service that orders packages and sends your taobao order overseas) it will come out to even more.
Get some calipers and measure tips you know you like like digital micrometer calipers cheap off amazon or ebay should be around 10 bucks give or take then measure those then look up the sizes of spinfits and spiral dots to make sure you order the right size. KZ whirlwind theres nothing to look up $1.20 and they send you 3 pairs one each of all 3 sizes.

SegaGen3sisThe ones that I know are good are not cheap I would try the ones you can find on AliExpress or Ebay with wide bore as close to 6mm as you can get bore foam tips(when I first started writing this I was hoping I could look around and save some money now I dont think its possible unless you make your own custom hack ones probably just better to order monster tips direct from monster once you know which size you want then you can order a pack of just that size). The ones I use are old I got a long time ago and are pricey probably not much better than what you can get from china(probably come from china anyway)(Ignore this sentence Hybrids are superior I was hoping Ali or some chinese vendor had hybrids but I dont see any). I like the monster hybrid tips the white ones but like I said I got them like 8 years ago when IEMs first started blowing up the chinese foam tips with the hard rubber or plastic inner canals should do just as well(lol wrong again no top flange not gonna bounce the sound as well gonna absorb it not a true hybrid just inner canal which I dont think is enough). The wider bore the better, mod the IEM sound port to use a wide bore tip with some kind of additive something like sugru or mastic tape or whatever you can think of that works for you or just get the skinnier bore tips but there are graphs showing that wider bore levels out the deep bass response.
These are the monster ones I like after you try the sampler tip pack or ask them for sizes and figure out what you want by measuring tips you got you can call up monster and get a pack of just the ones you want instead of the whole sampler. I like the white foam tips notice the tips of the foam ones have a flange on the tip of the tip like a rubber flange type tip(mix of flange and foam with flange on the exterior is what is called hybrid). Ive tried a bunch of tips and these were the best(hybrids are the best) sounding by a long shot and the white ones are just oversized so I can get a seal and seat them out a little bit makes the sound more full.
https://www.amazon.com/Monster-Foam-SuperTip-Sampler-Starter/dp/B003TFEHMA
If you source chinese one look for the flange ontop Its probably there for a reason(never mind none of the chinese ones are hybrids they are all foam on the outside with only the inner canal in silicone this is not a true hybrid cause there is no silicone on the exterior I have only tried the monster hybrids I havent tried the sony type where the whole exterior is silicone). I havent tried chinese foam tips yet but I have tried comply and other foams with soft tops without the flange and they all sucked probably cause they were absorbing sound.

Thats the cheapest I could find the KZ whirlwinds. If you order more than 3 per order it adds shipping so if you need more than 3 place multiple orders. You have to reload the page to reset the shipping back to free decreasing the number purchased below 3 doesnt reset it.

Heres Red for 1.88 if you want something other than Blue.

This one is weird it says a full pack is 18 pieces but this listing only gives you 12 you might have to chat with Tony of Tenmack to see what he means by this. Hes a good guy tho it shouldnt be too much of a problem plus he has some of the best ChiFi on the market right now. The other one with the full 18 in the pack for dollar more has 20 bucks of shipping when I look at the listing so it looks like your stuck with the 12 piece listing if you want those might ask him about the shipping on the full pack too and why its so high when the 12 piece is free. I havent ordered these looks like waste of money just go with the cheap ones. The white does look nice tho cant find them individual.
Whatever you do dont get the light comply foam that holds its shape I think those are worthless. I even like to run in my foam tips and sweat on them so they get hard. That gives the best seal but allot of people on MD would cry about their ears also because you can get the seal with the tip seated out a little bit which gives more sealed volume and allows the sound to develop better(because the sweat when it dries hardens the foam if you get them wet they will resoften possibly if you soak them in water with a couple drops of soap it might take the sweat hardening out but dont use heat cause there is glue between the inner flange and the foam likely some hot glue speed production type adhesive).
These say they are 4mm the KZ say they are 6mm but these are 1.11 instead of 1.20. Interesting says comes with all 3 sizes looks just like KZs.

I dunno I cant find any flanged foam on AliExpress Monster might be the only ones.
Looks like Sony makes Hybrid tips too they used to be foam stuffed look like regular full rubber flange tips like spinfit or spiraldot but instead of empty space between the silicone and inner canal tube they put foam or now it looks like in the new version its some other clear filler like silicone or who knows what those look interesting as well. Search Hybrid tips theres probably allot I missed in the last 8 years.
WATCHOUT I ALREADY SEE FAKE SONY HYBRIDS ON AMAZON LOOK CLOSE AND MAKE SURE THE PIC AND IT COMES IN THE BLISTER PACK NO BLISTER PACK PROBABLY FAKE
http://www.head-fi.org/t/623949/foam-stuffed-hybrid-tips
Clear stuffed ones says discontinued tho. https://www.amazon.com/Sony-EPEX10A-WHI-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B001RB24V4 NOTICE THESE CLEAR STUFFED NOT A BLISTER PACK OR PACKAGING EITHER COULD BE FAKE LOOKS WELLMADE THO.
Yeah those are all likely fake I think Sony quit making them already which is a shame people seemed to like them you see the fake ones all over ebay.

Still I think the Monsters are probably better anyway and likely more comfortable but probably not as immune to sweat as the Sonys are.
This is interesting but a ghetto hack.
http://theheadphonelist.com/earphone-fit-guide/ VERY BOTTOM OF PAGE
That site should need no introduction if you dont know about it U A NOOB. Never read that page(I was more into his list back when it was still a forum thread on Head-Fi so I never read the full site). See hes already been doing what I was thinking of doing now while writing this combining cheap chinese foam with silicone flange tips to make your own hybrids notice he likes hybrids too and I think he probably has more experience than anyone sure they look ghetto but I bet they sound great.
Another good custom hybrid thread.

Looks like Trinity makes some too known for the popular and cheap Vyrus lately and other more high end models.
https://trinity-audio-engineering.myshopify.com/products/trinity-kombi-tips
They look cheap tho the foam looks wrong too would rather make my own make sure you get closed cell and possibly gel foam. I know gel foam works better in headphones cause it locks the bass in much better than lighter foam and can make a huge difference. Like the AKG K701 line (Q701, K702, k702 Anni, K702 Anni 2, K712 Pro, K7XX) the K702 Anni, Anni 2, K712 Pro and K7XX all have the upgraded gel foam pads(40 each from fullcompass(auth distributor) or AKG direct. The K701 Q701 and K702 Original dont and sound like cheap tinny all highs crap. No I dont know what foam to buy or what chinese foam tips(careful some look like foam and some look like comply(comply has bigger cells a little more translucent on the outside) but they come in the same shape colors and sizes so make sure you look close before you buy) but this should help you make customs if you go that route. Good Luck.

iCeOL8TRAmnesiaOooo I just had an Idea for the ultimate hybrid. OK KZ Whirlwind gives you small med and large. For me I could use the med and large on their own but then your left over with a bunch of smalls. If you took some cheap chinese foam tips and pulled the inner canals out then precision drilled some holes in the foam and cut the tops off with some kind cutter thats real accurate(fiskars paper cutter?) or some good knife work then you could cut off the outer ring of the flange(or shape it with heat or maybe just cut a slit or notch to make it umbrella out) of the small whirlwind and then stick its canal down into your modded foam and wallah it uses the wasted whirlwind and turns it into a god bigbore hybrid. There are other whirlwind listings that give all its measurements in detail just like a cad drawing I know the inner canal is 6mm I think the outer of the canal tube is 7.4mm(you would want to drill the hole smaller than this so it would snug in the foam real well provide a little bit of its own pressure so the glue would bond better)(its on the red whirlwind listing). Now just have to figure out the glue to glue the canal into the foam this may be the hard part.
I know PUR hotglue is the strongest glue there is but it gets too stiff for this application.... actually maybe not if you did a really thin layer have to test it out. I dont think a contact adhesive is good enough in that warm sweaty environment in the ear especially while working out. PUR strengthens when its wet infact its moisture that gives the final cure over 48 hours to make it super strong(it really is impressive when fully cured granted you are bonding the proper substrates like foam and fabric that have millions of little nooks an crannies plus its not that weak either when the glue cools and hardens after initial application either but is not yet ready for full stress but good enough for initial mockup or fabrication to put the pieces together without having to clamp or hold the substrates together(tho on some substrates like wood it is desirable to clamp; the bond of PUR is stronger than the wood itself if you try to break the joint you will break the wood first, granted a properly formed bond and joint).

ajryanNOOB when you are inet for many year you become internet god researcher. I posted this not only to post the answer but to fully explore the question myself and have an easily referencable post on a board that isnt letched all over by shetstaine mods that ban anyone with balls bigger than theirs. Almost every board I post on I get hate and jealousy from low energy low knowledge turkeys like you and when I post but one sentence they detect god balls and ban me. I dont even have to say anything offensive. Infact, I have friends that have learned from me and when they post anything close to the mentality I have imbued them with they get banned too one drop of me from the other side of the earth immediately draws hate and disdain from every knucklehead who thinks hes somebody only to figure out he isnt.
Let me help you out: study diet and probiotics and protein and working out and come back to me in 5 to 10 years. Also start reading the internet until you can read between the lines of everything and glean the true meanings as if you were one of those new representations of sherlock holmes either in the new bbc tv show or those robert downey movies. Then come back here and babble your utter nonsense you lazy bart simpson.
