Why are the sales so low on this IEM? From the frequency response of the heaven II, it seems like that this will be a really good balanced IEM. Other reviews on the IV suggest that it is neutral and life like and it is especially good with the vocals. I'm just asking this out of curiosity. Wondering if there is something wrong with their sound signature or the build quality that's turning others away. http://www.innerfidelity.com/images/FinalAudioHeavenII.pdf The link is the measurements of the Heaven II from InnerFidelity.

multikiller_7Limiting to just the US and Canada lost a lot of sales I would have thought, I would have bought if able.

multikiller_7I see. They also limited sales to only 300 units.
multikiller_7For me it really is the lack of any real informantion as to what these sound like. Also, I got really turned off by the silence from the Matt/MD when asked many times for more information. And when he replied it was like it is closer to the IV than the II in build but nothing about what it sounds like. A simple description like V, U or flat (neutral) shaped response would have been more informative. You know that MD has got some samples and have done some listening. Kind makes me wonder it this is just a stinky batch of IVs. If MD is not enthusiastic about selling these iems why should anyone else be?

multikiller_7That is true, I agree with you on that. I'm gonna buy one of these because I'm interested in Final Audio (I've never owned one before). I'm hoping that they sound similar to the IV. I think Matt's response was implying that these IEM's will sound similar to the IV because they have the same body and driver. However, it sucks that they don't provide a frequency response graph. Really good manufacturers sell shitty products once in a while and this could be one of them. Just head over to the HE350 thread and see all the complaints on the sibilant sound of the HE350. Hopefully this won't be the case. Hopefully the III is only cheaper because it don't come with the accessories and fancy packaging. At this point i'm not too sure what to expect though!

multikiller_7I don't think any of you will be disappointed with these Finals, especially compared to normal pricing on Finals. I have the Heaven II, IV and VI models, and each provide excellent sound. I would be all over a couple sets of these if it wasn't just a different color of the IV.

CompassionatorFinal is a boutique brand they would lose confidence with the purchasing community if they shipped a shoddy product and labelled it something else. They are not big enough to just brush it off, it would seriously hurt their future bottom line. I personally would love to see other boutique brands on here like Ocharaku and Fitear. If this iem solves my craving for glorious female vocals ill be very happy. If you dont like it you can always sell it on r/avexchange or head-fr

multikiller_7Just don't buy it thinking it will be on par with quality of higher end offering from the manufacturer. just look at the trend. Most items on this site is around 10 percent discount from retail pricing or less. Audio gear company will not sell $300 product at $70. They know we will pay exuberant amount for TOTL items if sound fits the bill. Also look at comments for other exclusive offerings. They will have lower QC, build, and performance. Don't believe the hype. most early testers are all doing it for free merchandise or for other incentives. Just buy it with notion that you are buying $80 quality product and you will be fine.

PxnctureYeah that's true. I probably won't sell them even if I don't like them (too much hassle). I'll probably just give them away. Thanks for introducing me to Ocharaku. Their Flat 4 KAEDE looks pretty sick!

andypak01I am buying these with that notion in mind. However, I am hoping that these would perform somewhere around the IV. I've never owned any final audio IEMs previously, so this is kind of my test drive. I agree with you on the fact that there will be trade offs for the pricing that massdrop is giving. Obviously the price is lower because massdrop is buying these IEMs in bulk, but I don't think that the amount of the price drop is proportional to the amount of discount being given on bulk buys. In reality, there are probably some drawbacks, which in this case seems to be that there is no case and probably worse packaging. There may be some QC issues as well, but, seeing as how this is a brand new drop, I guess we just have to wait and see.

kfarndogCould you give a quick rundown of how the heaven IV's sound is different from the II's?

NotColVery quick - both are excellent in clarity and vocals, and are very easy to drive from any source. Either one will scale up to your source and quality source / power into them will provide rewards.
What the Heaven IV has more of than the II is bass, mid-bass, clarity with extension in the vocals, and soundstage. That said, the Heaven II provides a tremendous amount value for the dollar considering how much more you have to pay in the Heaven series to really move up in sound quality (the Heaven VI is where that line is for me).
