PathworksI agree wholeheartedly. I have many budget ( under $100) IEMs, but nothing comes close to these sonically. The cable has a good amount of microphonics, otherwise, no other Negatives. The bass and treble are impressive, but nothing comes close to these mids for under $100. I Highly, highly recommend them.

NejiYes, the microphonics on these are terrible - don't walk or move your head when wearing them. That said, I like them more than any other low-priced IEM I've bought on Massdrop.

PathworksReview: 2 Best < $100 IEMs from Massdrop:
Test tracks lossy 256 kbps m4a files: Mixed, direct from iPhone 5s.
NuForce NE800M: (Massdrop price $59.99) Pros: In your face punch! Crystal clear highs. Feel the bass notes. Drums have more punch. Feels like the NE800M is better able to handle a lot of music playing at once than the Final Heaven IIIs. Vocals sound natural and pleasant. Low and highs are more pronounced than that of the Final Heaven III's - this may be better for car/train commuting. Find myself listening to these more presently. Lots of tips plus the premium Comply foam eartips (large and medium - using the mediums for this listening). Cable has phone mic and controls. Nice packaging and Leatherette holding case. $10 less than the Final Heaven III
Cons: Experienced channel dropout (in and out) at the plug end. The bullet carbon fiber and brass cans will outlast the cable. Hope they last as some other posts here indicate a short lifespan.

Final Heaven III: (Massdrop price $69.99) Pros: Wider soundstage than the NuForce NE800M or just less bass. Bass is more recessed and possibly lacking. Hard to say if the NuForce NE800M has upped the bass from where it should be after listing to the Final Heaven IIIs. The Final Heaven's sound is balanced which can be tweaked with different tips. (I'm using the med. Comply foam eartips that came with the NuForce NE800Ms -- which helps reduce the microphonics of the Heavens). Vocals sound natural and pleasant. Mids are more forward than the lows and highs. Thinking orchestra music may be the natural fit for these. Build is quite nice. I'm thinking these will outlast the NuForce NE800Ms.
Cons: Cable microphonics are pronounced. Minimalist packaging with no case. $10 more than the NuForce NE800Ms.

PathworksI am reading somewhat similar conclusions to mine. For pieces that feature a top flight performer like Utada Hikaru or Alina Ibragimova or well-recorded and talented acoustic music, the Heaven III is head and shoulders above any sub-$100 earphone that I have heard. For a band like ColdPlay, Michael Jackson or less impressively talented (technically) pop/R&B/EDM/rock performers then the NE800M is tops, in my experience. Don't listen to Judas Priest with the Heaven III or you will suffer major disappointment with the band and engineer. I am not experiencing the NE800M being better than the Heaven III with more complex pieces, especially for acoustic/orchestral pieces. Under iPhone and more upstream gear, I hear the Heaven III being more agile, detailed, and capable with complex pieces. That said, for complex large orchestral pieces, I would probably opt for the Havi B3. That humungous soundstage for the win! For noisy environments, I agree, the NE800M bests the Heaven III.
I highly recommend the Heaven III, especially if you are a fan of very talented vocalists/mids-centric instruments; I highly recommend the NE800M, especially for more dance/pop-oriented tunes; I highly recommend the Havi B3 for large orchestral pieces and have more upstream gear.

NejiAfter a year of NON usage, yes read again NON USAGE, my Havi B3 cracked on the left shell. They were never dropped and were in the box they came in. Others reported the same, and I should of taken as red flag but didn't. Lucky was able to return them via Amazon for full refund. I've never had an IEM do such a thing ever! They will never get a cent of my money again regardless of sound. Final Audio has replaced them with better sound and better build.

Hi-FierI have heard of users with build issues with the Havi B3. I have one pair that is over 2 years old with moderate use with no issues at all. You have to go with your experience though. I agree that the FAD H III is, overall, much better than the Havi B3.
