"Swedish-made ELMAX is a product of powder metallurgy..." - so in other words, the blades are formed from steel made by Metal Injection Molding? No thanks.

andycdfwPowder metals are used by many mid to high end knife makers. There's a substantial variety of metals made that way now. They have the benefit of uniform grain structure & even distribution of carbides which yields a very uniform and controllable heat treatment. Bohler's Elmax is considered to be among the best of them by many.

Ogen_the_MaticYup, Elmax is great if heat treated properly (seen a lot of burnt Elmax blades though lol.)

andycdfwNo, not injection molded. Made same as any metal. The various different ingredients are powdered to make them easily and precisely measured and then mixed and melted and forged same as many great knife metals. Goog CPM steel production.

andycdfwThere are alloys made by PM or powdered metallurgy.
Its not MIM (metal injection molding) it's SINTERING.
CPM V3, CPM 154, S30V, S90V are *ALL* produced by sintering.
