I've had 2 of these for several months now. They're small, but very hi-fi.

YakovNo idea - I reviewed it - didn't even consider that the driver mattered. The price is extremely low given the quality and sound, so I'd assume the cheaper option.

Uzuzu'Very hi-fi' == proper bass and treble balance, clear authentic tonal quality, no distortions, etc. That's what you pay several times as much for in headphones. Go read the reviews now - my review for example.

UzuzuDriver size has zero relevance to your sensitivity.
YakovMicro and dynamics are the same actually :) Generally, a dynamic driver 6mm and smaller is given the title "micro driver". These would classify as a micro. Hope this helps!

dalethornit does because bigger drivers in an iem = greater pressure?

Yakovhuman ears canals are 5mm wide though so any driver bigger doesn't really need to be at least in the sense of an IEM when it comes to creating natural sound. Smaller than 5 would be bad but 5 could be perfect. Heard of flare audio r2a's? they are 5mm drivers but slam harder than a th-600 apparently, and as an owner of a th-600 I'd find that hard to believe until I heard a pair myself. The bass on the fostex cans is fucking unbelievable.

UzuzuThere are several factors, so as long as the driver isn't being overdriven into distortion, the other factors would matter. Usually in these things, you'd worry about sensitivity. Too sensitive and your amp might hiss. Less sensitive and you need more power and that could cause distortion. I didn't find any issues with the IEB6.

Yakovthe hifiman earbuds are very bass-lite read Massdrop Will's comments there my guess is that these earbuds will severely outperform those.

UzuzuI'm also in for these instead of the hifiman earbuds with the same hope. The long lead time for those hifiman in August doesn't exactly help either :D
Edit: why don't I have a star next to my name when I'm also a participant in this drop???
