DankgeneticsThey actually are not 100% leak-proof but it is not a big issue. If you leave the pen without use for some time, it is possible that a very small and quite dry blob will form on the tip. It is also easy to clean. On the other hand, it is also easy to make your fingers or shirt dirty if you do not notice and take care. As of the bullet pen, which is capped, it also makes dirty the inside of the cap.
I love some of my bullets but, in my opinion, the pens and refills are not as good as one would think just from reading reviews and fun sites. Quality of some of these products is very questionable and not matching the price and expectations. I lost some really big bucks jumping on this hype more than ten years ago. You can read my posts in this discussion for details.
I still would buy some Fisher pens but I would also avoid buying most of the models. This is my hard earned experience and opinion. Quality perception of other people may and will vary. :)
LibertyYeah I bought a Space Pen years ago and despite owning several different cartridges, it's simply one of the worst writing pens on the market. Line smoothness and consistency is atrocious and varies wildly depending on the rotation of the cartridge and the direction it's moving.
smudgefor future ref, the ball end leaked and these refills are super expensive but thats because theres few shops that stock the "Space Pen" here. (unless you find a clearance sale dumping that line for $2 eash, lol) Fisher for life. Yeh I do have Parker but Cross ink seems to go goopy. I found a Parker that was my mothers and hadn't written in 35 years, instantly started writing which puts it at the top in my list.
