Thanks again for joining the drop with the community. We submitted the group’s order with the vendor for the Fitbit Charge Wireless Activity Wristband shortly after the drop ended and they have begun preparing it for shipment.
Once the group’s order is ready at the vendor’s location, they will ship the packages individually to you as soon as possible.
Once we receive confirmation regarding the shipping schedule from the vendor, we will provide you guys with updated information on the status of your package.
Expect an update from us on 11/20 or sooner.
TMSGthe light based heart rate monitors are, in general, not worth the trouble and expense. They are too inaccurate. The chest-strap kind is the one that works (most are ANT+, some are bluetooth). Most Garmins work with those, I don't know about this one.
This is only available in large size? Large size doesn't work for me. I need a small size band. More people would participate in this Drop if we had the option to choose band size.
This is a FitBit product, so I would advise everyone to stay away. I have had 4 of these the last year and the build quality is terrible. You can not expect it to last more than three months with careful use.
The rubber edges are very exposed, so you risk destroying it by just taking off a sweater, and the problem only gets bigger after that. Picture:

Also, the holes you plug the other end in to are also a big design fail. They are just a strip of harder rubber to hold the pins, but the strip it self is held in place by the soft rubber, and the first and last hole barley has any soft rubber holding it in place as the strip ends there. This results in the harder rubber getting dragged out from the softer rubber. Pictures:
