Thanks again for joining the drop with the community. We submitted the group’s order with the vendor for the Fitbit Charge Wireless Activity Wristband shortly after the drop ended and they have begun preparing it for shipment.
Once the group’s order is ready at the vendor’s location, they will ship the packages individually to you as soon as possible.
Once we receive confirmation regarding the shipping schedule from the vendor, we will provide you guys with updated information on the status of your package.
Expect an update from us on 11/20 or sooner.
Hello Everyone! We have extended this drop just a bit in hopes that we can hit the lowest drop point!
The Charge is kind of a waste of money. It doesn't have heart rate. Just pony up the extra $50 to get the Charge HR.

Agreed. I hardly see the point of this without a heart rate monitor.

the light based heart rate monitors are, in general, not worth the trouble and expense. They are too inaccurate. The chest-strap kind is the one that works (most are ANT+, some are bluetooth). Most Garmins work with those, I don't know about this one.
This is only available in large size? Large size doesn't work for me. I need a small size band. More people would participate in this Drop if we had the option to choose band size.
This is a FitBit product, so I would advise everyone to stay away. I have had 4 of these the last year and the build quality is terrible. You can not expect it to last more than three months with careful use.
The rubber edges are very exposed, so you risk destroying it by just taking off a sweater, and the problem only gets bigger after that. Picture:

Also, the holes you plug the other end in to are also a big design fail. They are just a strip of harder rubber to hold the pins, but the strip it self is held in place by the soft rubber, and the first and last hole barley has any soft rubber holding it in place as the strip ends there. This results in the harder rubber getting dragged out from the softer rubber. Pictures:

Yeah, but there are fantastic (and cheap!) third party bands and stuff you can get.

Please offer this in a small!! I would jump at it, as would most fitness conscious women.

I would jump in if it is a small size. Too bad. Will you have small size be available???

The vendor has let us know that a couple of orders have gone out. They are currently working on packing and shipping out the rest. We fully expect the order to be completely shipped by tomorrow. As soon as this happens we will make sure to update the group with the individual tracking numbers.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 10/27 or sooner if something comes up.
Is this usually how long it takes for all drops? This has been taking, for what seems, forever since the purchase date. It has been almost a month and it seems as if this is turning into a scam by the vendor. This is my first time and this seemed like a good deal. Is there something going on that we should be aware of other than the innumerable delays?

I'm impressed that my order is probably going to take longer to arrive than the credit card statement that it was on.
The vendor has let us know that their allocation of Fitbit Charge Wireless wristbands was delayed due to customs. They currently expect the order to be released by the end of the day and to be in their warehouse by the end of the week. As soon as the group's bulk order comes in they will ship orders directly to group members.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 10/26 or sooner if something comes up.
The vendor has informed us that his allocation of Fitbit Charge Wireless wristbands has been delayed. They should have the updated estimated date of arrival for the bulk order on Monday. We will make sure to update the group with it as soon as we know.

We are in contact with the vendor and awaiting updated shipment estimates from them. We have a call scheduled first thing tomorrow morning and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect these to ship out. We will update the group as soon as these are on the way.

12 hours to go. I'd like to buy in but I need to know if I can get it with the small band.
Not much of a savings when one could walk into Best buy and pick it up for 109.00. With only 2 days left I wonder if it will make it to its lowest drop price..

Hope you got your answer
Oops double entry. Sorry.
I'd be interested in this if I could get a small band. Is there anyway I can get it in small?
Good morning everyone! Due to the competition in the market on this particular drop we did get a better cost on this and were able to provide a pretty significant discount on the third drop point. Enjoy!

Do you think you or the people at Massdrop could fix this link I sent a support message but I got no replies from it?
I've been waiting for this drop for quite some time and I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed with the price when I can get it for $102.03 on Amazon. Even If this drop gets to $99.99 you still have to wait 8 days for the drop to end and the approximate 2 weeks for them to finally get to you (based on my previous Massdrops). I'd rather pay the extra $2.04 for guaranteed 2 day shipping, If you are an Amazon prime member of course.
Buy a garmin vivofit. they're cheaper, more accurate and have a longer battery life. https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/into-sports/health-fitness/vivofit-2/prod504038.html
I'm a former owner of the Fitbit Charge. It was a nice little device for a while, and the app was nice too. But the wristband comes off very easily and this device is not that water resistant (Note: this not does mean water proof).
I recommend some band fasteners (http://www.amazon.com/DigiHero-Silicone-Fasteners-FITBIT-Wristband/dp/B00V3GAG0O for example.) Mine fell off all of the time without the fastener. Pretty much anything involving water I wouldn't recommend. Hell, I'd even be afraid of sweat with the Charge, which is partially what I think led to the demise of mine. It's nice for a casual "band", but there are better ones out there. If you are going to do less vigorous activities like walking, then this band should be fine for you.
Sticking with the Fitbit brand, I have a few friends who own the Charge HR and it seems to hold up way better than the Charge. The wristband is also a watch-style. An alternative to the charge would be the Fitbit One. It's a clip on Fitbit, and does essentially the same things that the Charge does. There's always the Flex too. Pretty much a Charge without the screen and costs less, sans a few features.
Had a problem with my wife's charging. They took a while to respond, but when they did, service was excellent! They confirmed it, and then sent out another, and just suggested that I recycle the one we have at an electronics recycler.
Glad they brought this back, but this time it's only for the large size, so I can't participate.
Delivery person charged me $6.68 to deliver the package when I already paid the $2.28 for shipping. Very dissapointed.
