Amazing build quality, killer aesthetics, incredible price, minor alingment issues.
Well here I write my first review. I ordered this watch from Spain. It arrived on time and without any customs. From drops side everything was perfect, nothing to complain about, thenk you very much for such a clean transaction. Throughout this review I will always have in mind the price I paid for the watch (less than 300€) and not the RRP. Starting with the positives, this watch is a hefty one, very beautiful, and the case and bracelet are finished to a very high standard. In fact I now have problems wearing other watches, as the bracelets feel now cheap in comparison to this one. I am talking about watches like a Citizen Titanium Diver or the famous Seiko SARB035, I am sadly no Rolex collector. Even the pins of the bracelet feel very high quality and it was very easy to size it. I find the watch to be very well proportioned and balanced, it feels very comfortable on wrist in spite of the generous weight. My wirst is also on the smaller side, but the watch still looks quite good on it imho, as you can see in the pic I uploaded that you can find in the photos section. The dial and hands are perfectly clean and free of smudges and the three main hands alignment is spot on. The watch came well protected and free of any scratches or dirt. The bezel ratcheting is just average, not amazing, not bad, very small backplay. Now to the negatives. I must admit I almost feel bad pointing out these things when I take into consideration the price I paid, but nonetheless I want to give an objective review of the product. For the negatives I will make a list: -(-)15 seconds per day. Still within specs, but I would prefer it to go fast and something under +10 seconds. -The seconds chrono hand resets half a milimeter right to dead center, you really have to look closely, but I have a big OCD when it comes to watches. -The hours accumulator hand resets perfectly, as well as the minutes accumulator hand, but the hour one can move after vibration slightly to the right (again, no more than the equivalent to 5 minutes in that register). I have the feeling that there may be some play in the gears or in the hand itself. -The bezel is yet again, half a millimeter misaligned. -The AM/PM indicator seems to leave more gap below the letters than above them, but it is perfectly horizontal. The day indicator seems to be perfect. -The screw in crown is a little bit rough, it is better to not force it and let the crown find the thread (remember it screws in counterclockwise) Most of these issues are misalignment issues only perceptible by very keen eyes, I doubt most people would notice them. I have been tempted to try and see if the warranty would cover any of this, but I somehow feel they would laugh about me and my OCD and me expecting perfection in a sub 300$ automatic chrono, and I am not sure if it is worth what I imagine to be a long time without the watch plus the risk of getting a watch with other imperfections or damaged during shipment. What do you guys think?

I was targeting the Fiyta GA8500.HBH since quite some time, but the retail price in my opinion was always too steep compared to the watch quality. Finally I saw this Massdrop offer at 499 USD and I got it ! It's few weeks that I am enjoying the Fiyta now and I am quite happy to have it part of my space watches collection. Once in my hands, the watch confirmed what I read in several forums: quality is a bit shaky. The watch arrived with a small scratch on the bezel: it's not very visible but it's there. The bracelet is far form being the best bracelet you can buy, a bit loose and with pins that appear not very strong and sturdy. The butterfly clasp is not opening easily. The push buttons are having a strange feeling when pressed: sometimes very smooth and sometimes hard and eventually producing an uncomfortable click. The screw down crown is unlocking turning it clockwise instead of the usual anticlockwise and to locked it back is a bit of an adventure, since the thread is not the most precise you can find. The lume is what it is, typically chinese quality quite weak. Last, but not least, I have more than a doubt on the "limited edition" serial number. In fact, although I have no proof, I suspect that the watch is time to time re-issued, starting again the numbering. Said that, the watch itself is stunning, with its titanium case and bracelet, the dial with the space mission coloured subs. Very particular is the AM/PM window. The case back is obviously special and is having also its fascination. The mechanism for the time being looks accurate and it's charging with very minimal movement. The chrono function is pretty much ok and resets to zero perfectly. I am certainly satisfied of the Fiyta GA8500.HBH and I would buy it again, although I can say that it's more of a collector item rather than a daily beater.

AssodiverThank you for your review, I couldn't figure how to screw in the crown... I was doing it clockwise. Now I know... anti-clockwise it is.

I love it. I will tell you that so far, it is keeping better time than my Rolex Submariner! The titanium is nice and light on my wrist, while still looking substantial. A+ as far as I'm concerned.

Be sure to check the quality of your item when you receive your drop. I had to send mine back due to multiple issues with the watch. Totally unacceptable at this price range!! Massdrop was quick to help and sent a full refund upon return.

andrewebay1What were some of the issues? Mine had low quality screws used to hold the caseback in place and the crown threading wasn't the best either but worked fine.

NewMDUserHello, there was a smudge on the of the hands which looked like oil. A few spots, small where hard to notice from arms length but upon close inspection is quite obvious.

Was a part of the last group purchase and went with the 8370 model which is the stainless steel version at $350 total. Overall quality of casework isn't as impressive as I thought it would be. My chronograph start pusher is slightly loose and wobbly. More so than the reset button which indicates it wasn't designed to be that way. Crown's threading is pretty awful even for sub $500 watch (FYI you need to screw in and out in the opposite direction as you would normally with a typical diver's watch). Bezel rotation is harsh and some play in it. Screws fixing caseback to case look poor in quality. Movement makes minute counter advance at 58 second mark rather than 60/00 seconds. Reset feel is different to Val7750 but that could just be because of the Shanghai movement and one with modifications to make it a 45 min counter. Lume is fantastic and applied nicely. Everything is clean and well done otherwise. Clasp nub is terrible quality though. Errrgh the feeling of opening and shutting sucks and does not feel nice and secure. Watch is a good design and wears small for 43mm which is good for me personally. Ran it under tap water with no obvious signs of moisture appearing under crystal after exposure to heat so 5ATM resistance SEEMS to check out. I own about 50 mechanical watches from 1890s to modern ones of all sorts from American to Russian to Swiss to Chinese to Indian in origin and everything in between. Most retail ~$500 Chinese watches are far better made than this which makes me feel it might be from a fake manufacturer. But I've never owned a Fiyta. Sea-gull and Beijing quality is far better but then again, those are not automatic chronographs so obviously Fiyta (if indeed them) needed to save money in finishing. That Shanghai version of 7750 is not exactly cheap either especially for low volume 45min modded versions of it not to mention all the detail that goes into producing this relatively complex case and bracelet setup. So I'll cut it some slack. Nice design so if you like it, buy it with the expectation that you are getting a cheaper watch with auto chrono movement and bracelet. If they just brushed up every category and made this a $1000 watch, it would be soooo impressive. This MassDrop price is definitely a much more appealing price than the 6800 RMB retail (~$950). Compared to another relatively common 7750 like a Tag Heuer at about $3800 retail, the quality is about proportional to price. Slightly better chrono quality/value would be a 7750 powered Hamilton but that's if you want to spend over $1000 on the Hamilton with a bracelet. 5 stars because super discount and overall pretty decent watch despite me being only critical. No brand new automatic chronograph watch with solid bracelet and decent casework exist anywhere near this price on the market anywhere in the world.
