Finishing- The case finishing is excellent. The dial is beautiful and looks better than in pictures. The colors really pop. The textured asteroid chrono dials are a fun touch and adds to the character of this watch while reminding you of its story. The staged rocket hands are very unique and also reminds you of the watch's story. The bezel rotates, which seems pointless for a tachymeter bezel, but it’s useful to me to use as a time keeping tool, like with a regular dive bezel. The steel band is good and feels substantial. Chronograph- Chrono pusher action is solid and feels the same as other high quality 7750 lever chronographs. The pushers are substantial and solid feeling and has a nice rubber texture at the buttons. Movement- It's a high beat movement of the workhorse 7750 type. The typical 7750 rotor spin centrifugal force is there, and adds even more to the character of this watch. It’s been very accurate so far. The top chrono dial counts 45 minutes instead of the typical 30 minutes. The day of week is replaced by an AM/PM indicator (for space use). As the 7750 is already a time proven design, and the hand-wind version of this watch’s movement was certified for astronauts, I’m expecting it to be reliable and robust, as well as easy to maintain and service over the decades. Feel- This watch truly feels like it has soul to it. The rotor spin that makes it feel alive, the functional design reminds you of its rich history and story, and the thoughtful and fun design details combine make this watch very interesting. While the case and lugs wraps and fits my wrist well at 44mm, it’s not a light watch (comparable to other medium-large steel sport chronos), and its size and height might not work for those with thinner wrists. The colors and design are very original and makes you want to keep staring at it.
