Since I have over 3000 miles experience with these poles I can speak to their impressive durability. I have taken falls on them, jammed them between boulders, forded streams, and thrown them off of cliffs. After enough abuse they will bend a bit and become more difficult to collapse but its not that big of a deal unless you need to adjust them constantly. By switching the handles for Gossamer Gear's cork pole grips you can save about .7 oz. These poles are truly in a class of there own when it comes to weight/cost/durability.

SpacEmanuelWow, thank you for posting your experience with the Fizans, @SpacEmanuel . Was this one long hike or 100 short ones? I trust you have at least one picture you can share?

DannyMilksThis photo was taken on Dinwoody Glacier on the Wind River High Route, where the poles suffered the most abuse. I did 300 miles on the PCT plus 2800 on the CDT this year.

SpacEmanuelLove the tip about the cork grips. Maybe we could have a package Massdrop with the GG cork grips.
