Does anyone know how much these altra lite pants weight? Its hard to believe they are advertised as altra lite but don't show the weight. Are they wicking? What are they made of? are they made for long distance hiking or wilderness survival? Are they treated with bug repellant? Why would anyone pay $100.00 for these pants I just don't see the value.

Hiker64They're Fjällräven's G-1000 fabric, which is poly-cotton. They're not particularly ultralight, and they're not what you'd call a modern technical fabric. I think Massdrop just doesn't really have an "outdoors and bushcraft" community, so Ultralight gets this stuff instead.
The value: they're durable, they have boot hooks and a really smart cinch at the bottom, they have tons of pockets, and G-1000 is actually pretty great.
