FadhlanRahimIts an Audio interface. That means mostly good preamps and ADC for attaching a XLR\TRS input such as a microphone or electric guitar to a computer via a USB connection. But it does also have both and amp and DAC built in, so you could use it as a output to headphones or small desk speakers if you so desire, its just that it won't drive super high impedance units or put out high wattage like some of the equivalently priced devices that are only. AMP\DAC combos.
The main reason that the AMP\DAC feature is built into this device at all is it allows latency free listening to your XLR\TRS inputs, so you can hear yourself playing\singing exactly as it'll sound on the recording. If you do intend on attaching speakers ect directly to your unit then I advise you check out the drop for the 2i4, it happens a bit after the 2i2 so will take a little longer to reach the 200 requests, but it adds RCA connectors and a MIDI input\output.
So in summary its is everything you list and more, but the primary purpose is as a input for recording sound to your PC. If your only wanting to output sound your better off getting a AMP\DAC unit that only does that, however there isn't much in this price range that will handle your inputs nearly as well as the 2i2 does, specialized or otherwise, so its a sound investment.
