Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

"others copied YOU". Not the other way around. You bought it before it was fashionable!
There is a segment of the market that values early buy in, because by buying early, you are demarcating yourself as being able to discern good product "natively", not just because tons of other people are buying. You are demarcating yourself as an independent judge of quality, not a herd follower. Do you see how that can have some value for some people? Not for me... not for you... but for some people. Hence.... higher price.
Being top 100 out of 500 is nothing. Being the first guy to "discover" TH-X00 if 100,000 people wanna buy it, makes you look prophetic.
Look I don't have to argue this point this point, because there is ample evidence that silly early-numbered editions make more money across huge swathes of product marketing. It's a well established fact, whether we find it logical or not. And where there is demand, there is price increase, whether there is logic to it or not.
