A little note here to people who listen to classical, and who are thinking of buying these cans.
The thx00s do not like woodwind instruments. Above a certain volume, flutes, oboes and the like are almost painful to listen to. Must be due to the overpronounced treble response, but your guess is as good as mine.
I also cannot listen to these for anything beyond an hour, sometimes less than that. Very fatiguing, almost like the early Grados I used to own.

scheepWhat source are you using them with? I'm not hearing any fatiguing/overpronounced treble at all and usually use them for 5 to 6 hours at a time.

scheepI can definitely agree with you on the Grado reference.... I once described these as a good choice for Grado fans who want to remember what sub bass sounds like. I don't however, have any issues with the treble but classical makes up only a small portion of my regularly listening.
