Is the cable still not detachable? I've just read a review saying that a big downside is the fixed cable. If that's still the case, I think that would bother me quite me a bit.

theillumedpandaYes, it's not detachable but they are totally worth it if you ask me.

VenoXj1Which amp do you pair it with? I already have a HE-560 and I like it a lot. Thus I don't really need a new one, it would just be an addition to the Hifiman. I'm not too sure if I should join honestly.

theillumedpandaI kinda went overkill and I'm using a soundcard from Asus, the Asus STRIX Raid DLX paired with my Lake People G109-A PhoneAmp LimitedEdition AMP. I get enough juice to power the MK3's from Fostex to the max as well. But the TH-X00 can be used without an amp as well but then your bass is lacking I guess. I used them without my AMP just for testing and with just my soundcard I had less bass but it still went pretty loud.

theillumedpandaThe cable is not detachable stock, but you can perform (or have someone do it for you) a detachable cable mod. Check it out!

I pair mine up with a Grace m9XX DAC/Amp combo usually, but sometimes I will use my Lyr 2 to bring out the midrange.

amoeba1126That's very cool. How do you do that mod? If it's not too hard to do, I might actually buy these cans.

VenoXj1I won't run into an issue when it comes to power, as my Cavalli LC has plenty of it. Glad to hear that it works for you!
