Never had a package take 8 days to be delivered from NJ to Florida. Normally three days TOPS. Even USPS snail mail delivers to me in 3-4 days. This Fedex "smart post" sucks! They just pushed out 'till Wednesday. Package travelled from PA to Orlando in two days and has been sitting less than an hour away for the last three days! Amazing.

TjPhysicistYes, package arrived in Sanford Fl on Saturday. Literally an hour from my residence. It wasn't delivered until Wednesday. The local USPS took possession of package on Tuesday. Oh wait, this is a group purchase so if there's a snag in the system it should be mentioned and Mass Drop should know about it so other members don't have similar issues. Agree? flyfisher55i hate smartpost...might as well use USPS tbh (maybe massdrop gets a deal with fedex? idk). The problem is the 'handover', from what i can tell it's ALWAYS tht 'handover' between fedex/USPS that takes longer than it should. I've had experiences and heard stories like "it's HERE..for like the last 3 days, it's literally like 30 miles from me, waiting to be handed to USPS but it's just sitting there for 3 days"

TjPhysicistI agree with you. It must be the handoff. It's like the packages get dumped in a bin somewhere and forgotten. Never had a problem with regular FedEx deliveries. When you're dealing with delicate electronics and such I would hate to think that the handling is less than normal just to save a couple of pennies. I wonder if other members have had negative experiences with the shipping of their massdrop products?

and that's ignoring the fact that you seem to be the only one here that thinks you're shopping on amazon prime...like i said, lighten up man, you're here complaining about a package that you bought in the interest of saving every last penny you could and it took a few days longer than a normal shipment would to get to you? big whoop.
if you actually cared about the community, your post would be like "hey my package took a few extra days to get here, but it was totally worth it! x,y,z, rocks guys thanks for the drop!" and that'd be it.
seriously, I'm really interested in this "snag in teh system" that you think massdrop should or even can fix here. seems they got it out the door in a timely matter, seems they shipped it the agreed upon method of smart post, seems like you were able to track your package the entire way to your front door, seems like you received the product in good working condition and as expected.....so seriously, wtf is the point your post? where is this snag that you expect someone here to fix? you probably should be writing emails to fedex and usps but my guess is you know how that will go so you came here to bitch instead...because it's all about the community right? lol....whatever man, enjoy your headphones even though it's highly unlikely that you have any joy in your life. lol.

DiRtYMeATCuRTiN@DiRtYMeATCuRTiN i do agree with one thing you said, or implied: that massdrop is likely not going to be able to "fix" smthg like "o noes my shipment took too long". And yes, massdrop, in general, is for people who want to "save some money" and that ofc means slower shipping speed etc, that's just the reality. However, there's a few things here: 1. not everyone who buys this headphone is buying it to save money. Honestly, between shipping (not free for me), import fees and exchange rate I actually pay MORE for these headphones than a th-610 bought locally. and with the 610 i can LITERALLY get it in precisely 45 minutes. That's all it's gonna take, a 45 minute bus ride up the street to the local audio store. I bought these because i KNOW they are good, and i LOVE them, so much so that nothing else can compare...for ME! Unless i pay $1k+ no other heapdhone is comparable, i just like these that much. the reality of the situation is: th-x00 is MASSDROP exclusive. so i'm NOT buying these to save money, i'm buying them because i made an informed decision about my taste and realised that th-x00 is the best under $1k headphones for me. 2. yes, massdrop cannot control what fedex/dhl does btu they CAN "vote with their pocket" so to speak. a LOT of people i have spoken to acknowledge that DHL is REALLY bad especially for international...and for domestic NOTHING beats USPS in terms of ease of use and price. So why use DHL at all? USPS does shipments to a lot of countries FINE, especially if you're going with the whole "cheap shipment but no gaurentee on arriving soon" kinda option. Take a look at online sites like bhphoto that offer multiple shipping options, USPS is always the 'cheapest' with 'long arrival times' and fedex is usually the 'super fast but OMG expensive' option. 2b. Why NOT give us the OPTION to use fedex "express" or something, the more 'expensive option'. Again, esp. for NAFTA countries: massdrop does NOT have ot pay the difference in price, srsly, charge me $50 for shipping, EVERYONE buying from Canada or UK would pay that, u know why? because DHL (What they use for Canada) charges $30 extra as "brokerage fees"...so it's literally the same "out of pocket" expense in the end: $15 shipping + $30 (or so) extra fees to DHL. 2c. OR just use USPS FFS. At any rate DHL just hands it to "local postal service" in the destination country, the exact same thing USPS does. With USPS you ahev advantage that: they are MUCH MUCH faster esp. for international, AND they don't have exhorbitant "brokerage charges" etc. And are MUCH better at handling import/duty kinda stuff. I haev CONSISTENTLY been charged less for importing with USPS/Local Post than with DHL or FedEx, and I;m not just talking about Canada or Massdrop this is experience i've had consistently in India and Singapore as well as from other websites that ship from UK, Switzerland (heidishop is a great place for victorinox) as well as US.
P.S: the above points aren't just about "canada" i've used Massdrop in Canada, US, India AND singapore and it's the same story. USPS or expensive fedex...NEVER cheap DHL.

TjPhysicistyeah, but you knew all of that going into the deal, sure i agree with you that they should offer x,y,z but since they don't, when you join the drop you know exactly who is shipping it,kinda makes half your points null and void no? like i said i agree with you on how it should be but the fact of the matter is that's not how it is and this guy knew the deal going into it.
also once the thing has been shipped it's customary to follow up directly with the shipping company if you have any questions, contacting and harassing the people at massdrop is no good for anybody, people like that are exactly what ruins good communities, as i said before this isn't amazon, this isn't some huge organization with thousands of employees whose sole purpose is to deal with customers, this is small group of people who specialize in niche markets working with manufactures to get us exclusive items at sweet prices, the problem is when you get a bunch like the guy above who can't wait an extra day or two then tries to make it massdrops problem is that massdrop has to invest more time, money and effort in dealing with these people which in turn either pulls them away from working on sweet deals or forces them to hire more people to tell idiots to calm down and just wait a day or two and that drives up prices....... if that goes on for long enough the next thing you know massdrop has a souless CS department like every other company out there and the whole thing goes to shit and is no longer a community but just another website selling shit.
the whole point of my post to the guy above was to just chill out abit and if you are going to annoy someone then try contacting the shipping company directly first and see what's going on, i tend to be a bit of a crass individual, there is no anger in what i am saying, it is what it is, and i while i would be bummed to see massdrop become overly corporate due to the nature of some individuals, i also understand that people by in large are stupid and that's why we can't have nice things and when we do it's why they don't last long....actually getting angry over stuff like that would drive a person to suicide i'd think, lol, nope it is what it is.... and all i was doing was point it out...

I'm not sure what your problem is but I have no interest in pursuing this or any other conversations with you. You addressed me in a rude and disrespectful manner. Even now your comments revert to me . You want to come across as showing concern for MassDrop. Do you shop here or simply harass others because you don't agree with their comments?
