I went to my friends birthday party and excused myself early by saying I wasn't feeling well but I secretly wanted to get back to my x00's (how big of an audiophile am I?) So far they are very impressive and do rock well. The treble is very nice and smooth, I'm not finding it hot at all thus far. The bass is also impressive and seems to be hanging with the D2000 quite well, I'll be testing it more against the D2000 and HE-400 this weekend but so far they have more/better bass than I expected. The pads aren't as bad as I thought but they are bothering me a bit as I keep adjusting them slightly, not a deal breaker IMO but the D2000 feels a tad more comfy overall, the x00's also seem a little easier to drive than the D2000 but I could be wrong. Anyway, really impressed so far.
