I'm in Phoenix. Got shipping notification on Monday 12/7 at 10AM MST. UPS didn't pick up the package from Massdrops NJ facility until 6PM EST. Original delivery scheduled date was Monday 12/14. I received notification yesterday (through MyUPS) that my order was scheduled for delivery today, 12/11, from 2pm-8pm. I decided to check the UPS site because they've done ultra-shady stuff like sit on packages for days at a time here in Phoenix when they haven't maxed out their delivery window (if you have 3-5 day shipping, it gets to Phoenix in 1 day, and it'll sit in the warehouse for 4 days because they aren't obligated to deliver it until then, seriously, this happens). The UPS site now says it's been rescheduled back to Monday. I took today off from work because the package requires signature and the MyUPS wasn't allowing it.
I'm sick of this sub-standard shipping from Massdrop. I know some of you are ordering curios and knick-knacks that are cheap and don't feel like paying extra for better shipping. I've had packages from Ontario, Canuckistan make it to Phoenix in 3 days via Canuckistani Post/USPS with Priority shipping which is only about $11 for a 2lb package this size.
I've reached out to MD and asked that they pull the order back and refund my money. I won't be participating in any more drops until MD resolves its shipping situation. No more UPS and no more 4 day processing times and 7 day delivery times. At least give us the option to upgrade shipping or choose carrier.

SuitepotatoYou're right UPS ground sucks because they will let your package sit in the final sort facility for 48+ hours instead of delivering it because it's ground. Very frustrating. As for UPS 3-2-1 day shipping? It's phenomenal. Always on time.
As for the refund.. pull back the order? You can't interrupt a shipment. A seller can't just tell UPS to bring it back lol. You could reject the package upon delivery attempt. Then it will go back to the seller. Might be able to get a refund that way.

JamesXWe'll see. Seeing as how it takes 24+ hours for them to respond to CS tickets it's unlikely they'll even see my request before the headphones get here.
UPS sitting on packages in the warehouse is the most frustrating damn thing. It's things like this that make me love the USPS. A few years ago USPS had the worst delivery record, worst tracking system, worst customer service, and that's been completely flipped on its head (at least here in Phoenix). The tracking is FAST to update. Heck, I've gotten updates in my email from USPS while the mailman was still sorting mail to put into my mailbox and he hadn't even walked the package up to my door yet. Yet, UPS has had my package in Phoenix for 2 days now, on a truck even, and their last update on the site says it left NJ on Tuesday...ya, no kidding UPS. I assume the subterfuge in tracking is a physical security thing to prevent hijackings. I refuse to believe that a company has such poor supply chain and logistics as UPS appears to have doubly because it was better in 2004 than it is now.
For a while UPS and FedEx and USPS were unbearable in Phoenix because DHL was headquartered here for their consumer shipping (before they closed up shop in the US). I assumed the other carriers were just phoning it in because DHL was so dominant here. Blew my mind when DHL closed.

SuitepotatoMine got to Phoenix yesterday and is out for delivery currently, sorry to hear yours is getting stuck D: I've had packages sit at the warehouse over the weekend a few times, though I guess it might depend what part of Phoenix that you're in, our delivery guy in south phoenix is pretty cool at least.

SuitepotatoLol it is funny you should say that about UPS delivery sitting on the package. I have the exact opposite experience in southern California. UPS always delivers they day they get it no matter what and FedEx will sit on it every single time until it is the final day the shipping was paid for, and if that day happens to be a Friday they will half the time not even attempt delivery because they felt like classifying the place I ship to as closed because they came during lunch break too many times and no one is in the office. I am glad for UPS most of the time, I would never have anything shipped FedEx if it were possible for me.

BillybombillI'm North Phoenix, literally I'm like a mile as the crow flies from North Mountain. I'm on a commercial route for UPS. I can't imagine it being a wise tactical decision to let my package sit for the weekend when all of the commercial packages are piling up over the weekend.
I used to be in South Phoenix in a revitalized area near SMHS. Our UPS route was usually on point in terms of not sitting on packages but the residential part of the route was always getting deliveries around 6pm or later due to the 6 mile strip of shops and stores on Baseline. Actually, in South Phoenix, when I was there, FedEx was #1 due to the main FedEx warehouse being in Tempe off Elliot & Kyrene.

SuitepotatoIt could be that it's holiday season. We need presents for 300 million people so they are probably sitting on ground packages so they can get more important stuff out. Normally UPS doesn't sit on packages in my experience but they have during holiday season for up to 48 hours for me. They probably have an insane amount of Amazon Prime 2-day packages to keep up with lol. I've never had a UPS 2-day package come late. They really are pretty good service.
