What would be a good portable Dac/Amp to use with my HD6xx and Sony Xperia 1 V cell phone?
I am new to this hobby. I purchased a HD6XX and plan to use it with my Sony Xperia 1 V cell phone, that has a 3.5mm jack. I was wondering if I needed a portable dac/amp or just a portable amp and if so what would one recommend? Any assistance one could provide, would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Haz

I'm sick of this sub-standard shipping from Massdrop. I know some of you are ordering curios and knick-knacks that are cheap and don't feel like paying extra for better shipping. I've had packages from Ontario, Canuckistan make it to Phoenix in 3 days via Canuckistani Post/USPS with Priority shipping which is only about $11 for a 2lb package this size.
I've reached out to MD and asked that they pull the order back and refund my money. I won't be participating in any more drops until MD resolves its shipping situation. No more UPS and no more 4 day processing times and 7 day delivery times. At least give us the option to upgrade shipping or choose carrier.
As for the refund.. pull back the order? You can't interrupt a shipment. A seller can't just tell UPS to bring it back lol. You could reject the package upon delivery attempt. Then it will go back to the seller. Might be able to get a refund that way.
UPS sitting on packages in the warehouse is the most frustrating damn thing. It's things like this that make me love the USPS. A few years ago USPS had the worst delivery record, worst tracking system, worst customer service, and that's been completely flipped on its head (at least here in Phoenix). The tracking is FAST to update. Heck, I've gotten updates in my email from USPS while the mailman was still sorting mail to put into my mailbox and he hadn't even walked the package up to my door yet. Yet, UPS has had my package in Phoenix for 2 days now, on a truck even, and their last update on the site says it left NJ on Tuesday...ya, no kidding UPS. I assume the subterfuge in tracking is a physical security thing to prevent hijackings. I refuse to believe that a company has such poor supply chain and logistics as UPS appears to have doubly because it was better in 2004 than it is now.
For a while UPS and FedEx and USPS were unbearable in Phoenix because DHL was headquartered here for their consumer shipping (before they closed up shop in the US). I assumed the other carriers were just phoning it in because DHL was so dominant here. Blew my mind when DHL closed.
I used to be in South Phoenix in a revitalized area near SMHS. Our UPS route was usually on point in terms of not sitting on packages but the residential part of the route was always getting deliveries around 6pm or later due to the 6 mile strip of shops and stores on Baseline. Actually, in South Phoenix, when I was there, FedEx was #1 due to the main FedEx warehouse being in Tempe off Elliot & Kyrene.
