Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

So who will ship international orders?
Also any idea how much longer these would take getting to international customers (particularly in Europe) compared to one of your regular drops? I'm sure all of these questions have been answered previously but catching up on 200 pages of comments is not exactly light reading.
As far as shipping time goes, ~3 weeks is what most people have been reporting.
Thanks so much in advance,
Derek
First, the DHL brokerage fee will be charged along with the duty. Second, DHL is only going halfway on the shipping. Canada Post takes over once it reaches to the Canadian side. Third, the duty and fee in total had a large range...some mentioned around $30-40 (West Coast), I got charged ~$80 (Ontario, go figure). To put it into perspective, the brokerage fee is minor compared to the duty.
Honestly, the horrible exchange rate is already a joke itself. You're looking forward to paying at least $600CAD with or without the fee.
Just to clarify the $80 includes the brokerage fees charged by DHL and the applicable Taxes and Duties correct?
I agree the exchange rate is a joke. I was expecting the cost to be around $600-630 CAD except I wasn't completely sure if the DHL brokerage fee would be some astronomical rate (from previous experiences).
This is one of the main sources I used to determine the total cost. http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/saved_calculations/view_details/199416111
Also I had a couple more questions if you wouldn't mind answering.
1. How do you find the sound stage and imaging of the Fostex Th-X00? I am planning to use them for music and for gaming and having a large sound stage and strong imaging (to hear the distant noises and where those noises are coming from) allows me to pinpoint enemy locations in first person shooter games which is one of the main other reasons I was very keen on getting these headphones as I've read through many reviews that the soundstage is great.
2. Would I need an amp/dac for these headphones? I know the headphone has a very low ohms of impedance rating and can be easily driven by portable devices, however would a cheap amp/dac (~$200 max) do anything for my audio experience (I use my Blue Yeti's built in Dac for my headphones)?
Thank you so much,
Derek
2. I found my motherboard's audio to be better than the Blue Yeti's amp/DAC (not sure what exactly what the Yeti has, it just sounded too colored). It seems to me that if you're spending $400 on headphones, then you'll probably get more headphones around the same price range (give or take a couple hundred) some time in the future. Unless we're talking IEMs, most headphones in this range will require an amp and DAC to sound their best (for most mid-fi+ headphones, you'll notice a bigger difference with an amp, because of impedance over 50 Ohms). Consider investing long term in an O2+ODAC/Magni+Modi setup.
As for your questions... 1. I wouldnt use it for gaming only because i find the bass on these a bit too strong.
2. Yes and no. Sound is subjective and whether youre willing to experiment (with your wallet). Some people are happy with plugging it into onboard sound or their phone, others try to seek something better...then, theres possibly the placebo effect where you have just spent a large amount of equipment therefore it has to be amazing.
Buy the headphones first. Amp/DAC comes second.
If it's Canada post, it'll either be no tax at all, or $9.99 COD fee + tax (GST/PST/HST) on converted value (from USD$). I find Canada post sometimes let's stuff by, esp. if it's a smaller package or if it's a busy season - not sure. My K7xx was never assessed anything, I received that during the holiday season. But a keyboard I got that was valued cheaper than the K7xx was dinged.
Just glad they don't use UPS inbound, they're just a $h*t show coming from overseas.
